  1. Cathedral’s record in domed stadiums played on turf is far more impressive than Center Grove’s. Rent free
  2. Yappi is the Ohio forum and they make us all look like choir boys here lol.
  3. Umpteen different screen names and still spew the same nonsense time after time. IMG good? How they going to do that?
  4. I'd love to see you make an argument that schools like Chatard, Cathedral, New Pal aren't some of the best programs in the state despite not playing in the largest class? Every other thing you say is dumb, why not at least give us one more laugh?
  5. The sad thing in all this is that Ben Davis has been extremely down since Simmons took over and is still likely the 3rd best 6A program in said time frame. Carmel has come back down to Earth since being relocated to the south bracket, but with Cathedral likely moving to 6A pushing Carmel back north, I think they are the team once again to beat as Westfield loses a huge senior class. Westfield has made massive strides the last few years but will have to wait and see if they can sustain the same level of success after losing and big senior class and Carmel going North.
  6. I know exactly where Cathedral stands in regards to the state's premier programs solely based on the fact that you can't keep their name out of your mouth. RENT.FREE.DUDE.
  7. Like I said....The powers that be at Cathedral don't give a s*** what Bash Riprock thinks on an anonymous message board. Cathedral's record over the last hundred years speaks for itself, it doesn't really matter what you or anyone else thinks or says.
  8. This is the correct take, however there's been more than one poster that has suggested the opposite. They think Cathedral SHOULD play up in 6A...just because. I as a fan have no problem with Cathedral bumping up to 6A on SF points, in fact I'm ready for a new challenge.
  9. Cathedral takes full advantage of the IHSAA's archaic playoff format. You think Cathedral is scheduling all those teams in a given year if forced to qualify for the 5A tournament, let alone 6A? Cathedral could go 0-9 playing all those teams and it doesn't jeopardize their postseason chances. You're crazy if you think Cathedral would volunteer to play up two classes just because a few anonymous posters on a message board think it's the noble thing to do. Mishawaka elected to play in 5A to duck teams like Cathedral and Dwenger before they were cycled up. Cathedral plays those schools in the REGULAR season because it doesn't affect their postseason chances in the least of ways. Huge difference.
  10. I was pointing out that there was nothing noble in Mishawaka electing to play "up" as a reason why Cathedral should do it. They are already playing "up" and have since the SF was implemented.
  11. Perhaps the same reason why Cathedral doesn't volunteer to play two classes up with Center Grove, Warren, Carmel, etc? Much more practical way of looking at things when the shoe is on the other foot isn't it?
  12. Mishawaka elected to play “up” at the inception of the success factor. When 5A and 6A split it effectively watered down 5A to the max degree. Traditionl 4A powers like Cathedral, Dwenger, Columbus East, Roncalli, etc were still in 4A when Mishawaka elected to play up. 4A was much tougher than 5A before teams started to cycle up.
  13. I think QB play has been more than steady. If we're being honest, offensive line play has been by far and away the most disappointing aspect of the season based on expectation. Not saying it has been bad, but 5 returning starters from last years team and CHS has struggled to consistently run the ball all year.
  14. Unless Zionsville/Michigan City scores 21+ on Cathedral's starting D, and that's happened once this year against a team that is top 10 nationally whose offense took almost 3 quarters to get going, Cathedral isn't going to lose to anyone unless said QB goes out there and turns the ball over 5-6 times which hasn't come close to happening. Red zone issues has much more to do with pre-snap penalties and conservative/predictable play-calling than it has QB play.
  15. He's been very good. 2500 yards 28 TD's to just 2 INT's. 62% completion rate on 300+ attempts. Has also run for 8 more scores. As a sophomore and first year starter, he doesn't need to really be any more than a game manager with the defense behind him, but his played above and beyond expectation this year.
  16. Westfield and Zionsville will roll. Don't let Brownsburg choking cloud your judgment and allow you to overthink things, DAC is arguably more underwhelming than the HCC in recent years.
  17. You can name it after me. The HCC isn’t going to be taken seriously as threat to the MIC until they win in November when it counts.
  18. I didn’t dump on anyone. Ben Davis going 4-5 in the regular season beating nobody of record is now acceptable for program standards? Yeah right. As I stated previously, Brownsburg losing to Ben Davis is more of an indictment on Brownsburg. Nothing more, nothing less. Congratulations to the Giants for surviving and getting to play another week, doesn’t change anything I said however.
  19. You’re the only person continually talking about a JV game from a month prior. I understand Cathedral lives rent free in your head and you have a narrative to push on here but good Lord give it up guy.
  20. For someone not affiliated with CG and claims to have no dog in the fight, you sure seem to have all the answers and insight. You still can’t keep talking about a JV game that happened over a month ago. Never seen a person die on a hill like this. Hmm….things that make you wonder
  21. I’ve offered my opinion on the situation. It was a JV football game, and the last one of the season at that. You’re still talking about a JV football game in mid-November.
