  1. I thought Arlington’s stadium was dead. Did IPS actually pay to upgrade it?
  2. Yikes, year 2 of the post Leroy Marsh era and the ‘Stangs have officially hit rock bottom after getting shutout by East Chicago Central. Muster has now been out scored 93-7 this year and has a 2-11 record in the past 2 seasons.
  3. No offense to Reitz Bowl, but I think The Pit is the coolest venue I’ve seen. Was it standing room only? Another fine performance by Cathedral. Trinity took Moe to the woodshed last night, so at least Cathedral easily handled the Crusaders as well. IMO, Cathedral is the team to beat in 5A right now.
  4. I texted my friend when it became evident the Bears would get one last possession and asked if we could forfeit. I had zero interest in watching the offense take the field again.
  5. I agree with Muda that QB1 should have been used more in the Pre-Season. The kid needs to figure it out this year or the Bears should move on. As Steve Young said last night, Mitch literally stared down his WR on that end-zone INT like a HS QB would. You can't waste a Super Bowl caliber defense on a mistake of a pick. I get that Mahomes was also a questionable Top 10 pick at the time of the draft, but I'll never understand how you TRADE UP to draft a QB that barely played in college and nobody else was coveting that early. Especially, when you could have taken a proven talent like Watson. That move will haunt Pace forever. Gipper, you should be ashamed of yourself! Do you take the South Shore into the Chicago Loop? if so, I'm assuming you get on at the East Chicago station on Indianapolis Blvd. As punishment, you should board the train on Monday wearing a Packers jersey.
  6. Cass Central Catholic Tipton West Lafayette Rensselaer North Newton
  7. Ha! I feel like we're one scene away from Jonathon Moxon hitting his dad in a face with a football.
  8. I’ll buck the trend a little: 1. Avon 2. Cathedral 3. New Pal 4. Warren Central 5. Carmel 6. Brownsburg 7. Valpo 8. Snider 9. Center Grove 10. Dwenger 11. LN 12. Fishers 13. Homestead 14. FW Carroll 15. Laf. Jeff
  9. I was reading Yappi this morning and it sounds like Moe looked awful as well in their scrimmage against Springfield last week. Still, it's impressive for a smaller (male vs. male enrollment) Cathedral to shut out a GCL-South team.
  10. A little fun fact regarding H-F. Their coach, Craig Buzea, has never beaten Penn. he racked up a lot of L’s against the Kingsmen while coaching Portage.
  11. Valpo is too low. Their D is too good to keep them out of the top 10.
  12. Well, if that’s not a stereotypical “Purdue loss,” I don’t know what. It’s year 3 and the honeymoon is over. Brohm is making too much cash to be blowing 31-14 lead midway through the 2nd half. I would not be surprised if Sindelar eventually loses QB1 to one of the younger guys. He’s a complete liability. I would expect a 1st year starter to throw that ridiculous pick with 1 minute left.
  13. Cincinnati St. X 38 Brownsburg 17 4 min left in 4th. St. X ball. Brownsburg led 17-16 at the half. Agree. He definitely doesn’t play like a Soph.
  14. Not only that, seemed like Carroll QB might have been down before the fumble. Both the fumble and recovery looked like 50/50 calls live.
  15. Brownsburg offense has died in the 2nd half. 31-17 St. X. Early 4th quarter.
  16. Guerin Catholic Cass West Lafayette Hamilton Heights Twin Lakes Tipton Western Boone Seeger Frontier Lawrence Central Delphi Rensselaer
  17. Carmel Louisville Trinity Lawrence Central North Central Lawrence North Fishers New Palestine Avon
  18. I knew Valpo was big on the lines with 2 or 3 D1 recruits scattered across both lines, but they looked huge on film. You can catch their game against Penn on ihsaatv.org. Their O-Line was pushing Penn around with ease. The big Jr. DE, Cooper Jones, will likely follow in his dads footsteps and play at ND if offered. Supposedly, Ohio State has already offered.
  19. Highland, Indiana, the town that spawned the greatest troll in gridiron digest history and the GM who ruined Andrew Luck’s career.
  20. From the limited action I saw, NC doesn’t have a QB who can throw the balk at this point. The starter had 3 INT’s in the 1st half.
  21. Any correlation to the arrival of certain ex players?
  22. I had a gut feeling Carmel would lose, but 42-14 to a team they beat last year? Didn’t see that coming with all of the talent Carmel has. Great opening week for the HCC! Franklin Central throttling Decatur Central was a eye opening to the depth in the HCC.
  23. Cathedral’s lines are very big. Completely controlled the game on both sides. D line created a lot of opportunities for the LB’s and S to come up and make clean hits.
