  1. I compliment YOUR team and I am not "reasonable?" You're IQ must be lower than your shoe size. I'll just put you on ignore and then you don't have to worry about any unreasonable comments from now on. And speaking of fans, you aren't much a representative of your "alma mater" if you did graduate from there. Screen names can be anything anyone makes up. Good bye but good luck and good health to Mater Dei. I still expect to see them lifting the championship trophy in a few weeks.
  2. Buckeyes defensive star Chase Young has been suspended. There is an ongoing investigation. Depending on the findings, the Buckeyes could have to forfeit games that he played in. He borrowed some money last year from someone but has paid it back. It was a "loan". The University and the NCAA is investigating the matter. It won[t hurt against Maryland, but they still have Penn State and Michigan. Stay tuned.
  3. The wait is over skippy. Here's the real deal: Linton has made those same mistakes in earlier games against defenses far below the capabilities of Mater Dei. The same thing popped up again at the worst time last week. We who follow the Miners have seen it before: mental errors and miscues. When the Miners did hang on to the ball, granted they still didn't get much out of it. I likened Mater Dei's defense NOW, THIS YEAR, to the defense of LCC's in 2015. (I doubt you went back on page one and read my post.) IMO LCC's 2015 defense was about the best high school defense I've seen personally here in Indiana in my 25 years of living here. I said in my post that Mater Dei's defense was second only to that one. How is that dismissing your team? Apparently, you have issues that probably should be addressed.
  4. You need to go back on page one of this topic and read my post and what I said about MD's defense. For you to call someone out for being disrespectful doesn't say much for you. It sounds like YOU are the one with their panties in a bunch. I've heard of sore losers but never a "sore winner". I have been complimentary of MD's team and especially their defense in all of the tournament topics. In spite of your claims, I still feel there were unforced errors that Linton made. Too bad you think that was dismissing your team's abilities. And by the way skippy, I picked Mater Dei to win it all BEFORE the tournament even started. I see the arrogance is still flowing on the GID. Peace out.
  5. I would agree because the fumbles were mostly miscues. The pick 6 to start the game was a tipped ball. That one was due to the defense. The rest were the Mines shooting themselves in the foot. I made another post and said, "what a first half beat down by the Miners.....on themselves." Pretty much sums up how they played.
  6. Just a few I will be checking on because I find them "intriguing": Bloomington South @ Castle East Central @ Mooresville Scecina @ Heritage Christian North Decatur @ Milan Rensselaer Central @ Andrean Knox @ Calumet No dog in any of these fights, but think these will be intriguing games. I do have some personal ties to a few of these teams but it's mostly friends who are either fans and/or coaches.
  7. And Tuttle knows the offense also. He runs the second string in practice. Same offense. I don't see a head coach anywhere sitting his starter (especially this late in the season) just so a back up could get minutes with the first team. That doesn't make much sense to me. Not only that, but the starters are used to Ramsey. Why would you mess with the chemistry throwing in a third stringer just in practice? Don't think that is gonna happen. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.
  8. But will PH hold North Vermillion under 40? LOL Park Heritage is NO "juggernaut". If you knew what that word meant, you wouldn't call them that. A nice team maybe, but juggernaut? Hardly.
  9. Why, is Ramsey injured too?
  10. I can agree that Penn State is the weakest team in the top four. Clemson doesn't have to worry. They will still slip in the top four after the next 2 weeks. There are some good matchups even before New Year's Day. LSU/Bama and Penn State/Minnesota are on tap this weekend. Heck I'll even toss in Baylor/TCU. Would like to see if Baylor is for real. Your comments are pretty much spot on about Oklahoma. I didn't really think Penn State was a "head scratcher" as much as it was the committee hedging their bets. If Penn State loses to Minnesota this weekend, they will drop out and Clemson will slip in. So no big deal about Penn State being in the top four. If Penn State beats Minnesota, then the Penn State/Ohio State game next weekend will be all that more meaningful. That would mean the second weekend in a row would have a game with 2 of the top four teams playing. IF Penn State beats Ohio State, I would imagine the Buckeyes will drop to 5th and Clemson would still get the fourth spot. Then you have to add in the SEC and B1G title games. That might be a final deciding factor who is in the top four. It's going to be an exciting finish to the end of the season, that's for sure! And I can't recall the last time I had a New Year's Day hangover. LOL
  11. Meanwhile back in the 6A being wide open topic.....I called Brownsburg beating Avon last week. Didn't have the correct score predicted (I said 14 - 11) but did get the correct point spread. I'm picking Brownsburg to represent the South on Thanksgiving weekend.
  12. Thinking the offense is just about as efficient with Ramsey at qb. He rarely makes bad decisions with the ball and is a very accurate passer. Maybe Penix is the better runner of the 2, but Ramsey is capable.
  13. It's actually, The River Moore. It IS located in the wheat land of Western Austrailia. It was named in 1836 by Corporal Patrick Heffron after his expedition leader, George Fletcher Moore, Advocate-General. The river is prone to periodic destructive flooding. And they don't have any end zone cameras to monitor the flooding. Hope this information helps you with your geography report. Look it up on Wikpedia. I dare you!
  14. Very true. There are several scenarios that could play out. The article I read that accompanied the playoff rankings said that Bama has to win out to stay in the top four. It cited Bama's weak SOS as to why. If they lose to LSU this weekend, they won't be in the national playoff. LSU still might if they lose, but not Bama. Clemson is ranked 5th due to it's weak schedule as well. LSU has beaten 3 teams ranked in the top 12 and Ohio State has beaten 3 in the top 20. So apparently the committee is looking harder at SOS this year than in years past. Both Bama and Clemson have SOS's in the 60's while Ohio State and LSU's are in the 30's. The thing with Penn State is this: they play Minnesota this weekend and then Ohio State next weekend. Lose either one of those and they are out. I'm curious to see how well Minnesota does against the Lions. Are they just pretenders or will they make it a game? If Ohio State and Penn State are both undefeated next week, that will be the game of the week. Some "experts" wanted to call LSU/Bama, the "Game of the Century", but they were counting on LSU and Bama being #1 and #2 in not only the polls but also in the playoff rankings. Oops. LOL
  15. I've talked about the North Knox defense over the course of the season and how I believe it is the most improved area of their team. However, I'm not so sure they can sustain the effort for four quarters against Mater Dei. Being at home will be an advantage for the Warriors and they are going to need every advantage they can get (no turnovers and low penalties). The LCC defense in 2015 was one of the best I have ever seen. I would have to say that Mater Dei's might be a close second. 21 - 7 maybe for the final? No offense to the Warriors, but if the score is that close, (IMO) they will have played a good game.
  16. Society has no morals, so there's not much to discuss.
  17. Here is the first football ranking for the college championship playoffs. I only listed the top 10. Pretty much everyone else outside of it, won't make it. 1. Ohio State 2. LSU 3. Alabama 4. Penn State 5. Clemson 6. Georgia 7. Oregon 8. Utah 9. Oklahoma 10. Florida I find it interesting that the top 4 are from only two conferences and those teams will play each other this weekend and next. So over the next 2 weeks, 2 of those teams will drop out of the top 4 (or should). A bit surprised to see the Buckeyes at #1 and not an SEC team. Are ESPN's children being slighted? LOL
  18. Went to college there. Other than recording row, didn't care for it. We met Elvis at the RCA recording studio. Hey, it was in 1971 and Elvis was STILL the king! LOL Went to the Grand Ole Opera too. Boring!!!
  19. Also noticed Harrell has predicted a 28 - 24 Mater Dei win. I am thinking that is a typo since it is the exact score he predicted Linton would win by last week over Mater Dei. The Sags show Mater Dei is about 14 points higher than North Knox. Take off the home field points for the Warriors and that would end up about a 12 point difference for a prediction. I'd say that is a closer prediction than 4 points. But hey, they still have to play the game, right?
  20. I just hope the Warriors get a better start than the Miners did. I'd love to see them in a dogfight. However, that Mater Dei defense is smothering and I expect them to ride it to Lucas Oil.
  21. Never said anything about controlling what other teams do. Just said SOS. Anderan's was much better and why I picked them. It's one thing to play bigger enrollment schools, but when they don't have very good programs, it doesn't help your team much other than to say you beat a bigger school. I've looked at BG's schedule like I do a LOT of teams in all classes. I check the Sags every week as well. I don't pick a team to win "just because". The team I support is Linton and have for 25 years. I didn't pick them against Mater Dei just because I support them. Did I want them to win? Of course, but even though the two teams were close in the Sagarin Ratings, I picked Mater Dei due to their SOS being a lot better than Linton's.
  22. Yeah it was tough. Tough officiating, not so good play calling, losing Brissett, VInny misses again. Just a rough, rough day all around. But hey, New England lost and the Pacers won! LOL
