Would be a nice game to see. I think Roncalli lost some of their flexibility in scheduling with CCC membership and the agreements to play the CI teams. They also will probably keep FC on the schedule for rivalry sake.

So what are Memorial's strenghts going to be next year? (Team identity) I only saw the Jasper game. Looking at MaxPreps stats (if they are accurate), they did not run the ball very well (92 yards per game, only 2 rushers over 100 yards, both in the Reitz game). Pence did not put up huge yardage numbers, but appears to not make mistakes (17/2 TD/INT). I think they have to worry more about EC, Mooresville loses some good lineman and WRs.

I think someone earlier in thread mentioned the nominations had to be submitted by regionals. I think this kind of implies that maybe instead of being penalized, they were not “helped” by getting to or wining the finals.

Those are some head scratchers. Almost like they based it more on regular season. 4A would seem to favor this assumption Top50 + Senior and Junior All State totals: Mt Vernon - 5 Mooresville - 5 Hobart - 4 (Included in the 4 is a position award winner) Lebanon - 3 Western - 4 Roncalli - 4 (Beat each of the first four by 3+ touchdowns in playoffs and would have done the same to Western) EC may have the biggest beef with only 3.

Wow, Cathedral QB did not even get the position award.

All very deserving, but same comment about MaxPreps's teams: 1 Roncalli, 0 Chatard and I guess you can now add in only 2 Cathedral.

Also losing kids to Triton Central. The good FR running back at TC played all his junior high ball for FC. I have heard that several starters on TC girls basketball team are also kids that are from FC school system. FC is starting to get big and it may be scaring some kids away. There was talk that they are actually starting to get some WC kids since the new basketball coach had coached at WC, so that may be a positive.

I think Huebler being a late canidate hurts him. Mr. Football like the Heisman has early favorites that get more attention because they are early front runners. Roncalli's rise in attention was really in the second half of the season. His stats would have been better if the Southport game had been played.

Questions about Memorial: What will be their strength next year? I saw another forum member state they will have a big line coming back, but they seemed to have a lot of problems running the ball. (93 yards/game) Pence did not have a lot of yards, but seemed to not make a lot of mistakes (17/2 TD/INT ratio). What do they do without him? South side of the bracket has teams that have some known strengths (East Central/Roncall = Running, Mooresville QB throws a nice ball, as does Mt Vernon (Fortville))

Chatard's SO class is not your typical Chatard group and someone from Chatard on the forum confirmed it. They said they expect two down years for Chatard. Roncalli SO beat them as FR 30-6 and the game was not that close. Roncalli also won the JV game this year with 4 SO lineman starting varsity and and the expected SO QB missing the season with a knee injury . They did say their FR class is very good.

And if 2013 is considered the start of the SF era, no one has won more titles than Webo. (Cathedral and Chatard both have 3 like Webo)

Because they went to state and lost to Linton the year before. That and the first state title bumped them up, not the second title.

They lost a 6’5” 300lb junior against Chatard due to knee. He started as a SO and will be back next year to fill in on that Right side.

Looks like Hobart commuting all to stop run and doing ok. But that allows Roncalli to go over the top. Even missed one and had one called back.

Here is the important question: Is Memorial good enough to earn two points in the next cycle to stay in 4A?

SAC with Snyder and Luers is the obvious one I could find in 1992. Looks like SB St. Joseph was not in conference with Penn in 95. Same in 2009 with LCC and WL. Ran out of time on my lunch hour. I will let someone who knows N. Indiana better than me look at the list.

What position is the Vode kid being recruited to play at WM? Seems like quite a player for Hobart.
