The NFL has had a bevy of OJT QB's. I could provide a list but we all know who they are/were. Some of them were "can't miss" coming out of college, but did miss too.

Yes, Cathedral recruiting is doing well, it's up to 1150. Also, the Irish are two last second plays away from a 7-1 record. Not a bad season for a team with a lot of young players. Also, they've had more than their share of key injuries this season. Hopefully they'll be healthy when the sectionals begin next week.

That's quite true, and Peyton struggled to get going during his rookie season. So, in some ways they're the same, although Richardson had some game experience last season. It's rare for a rookie to make a genuine impact, but it has happened.

Well, that's apparent, and that's what I was pointing out. It's just fact that Cathedral is where they are and they deal with it.

Every fan has a camera now. Most games are recorded and emailed to the TV stations. No need for the helicopter expenses. Most schools live stream their games, and that could be one reason why attendance is down at some schools. It's easy for some to just sit at home and watch their team, or teams. Me, I like the smell of the popcorn.

With Richardson's short injury history, it's imperative to have a competent backup. And Flacco sure is that. BTW, does anyone here remember Peyton's first year at QB? It took him some time to develop into a HOF QB. I just hope Richardson becomes an adequate franchise QB in the near future.

Cathedral's enrollment of 1150 is not in 6A territory, but the Irish have always played wherever they're placed and wherever the bus stops.😉

With a 20-6 win over Warren Central yesterday, the Cathedral Irish Freshman complete an undefeated season (7-0) The Irish JV also won yesterday 14-12 over Warren Central.

Well, the Dolphins had to depend on their 3rd string QB today, and the Colts found a way to get past them. It was not a highlight game, but a much needed win. It'll probably be that way the rest of the season, 'til Richardson gets some needed experience.

IU has better starting QB's, that's for sure. Jackson will not be a big drop off for the Hoosiers.

Throughout the years, the Colts have lost games against backup QB's. This one today could be another one. Miami is up 10-3, and the 3 came on the last play of the half.

#5 Georgia has beaten #1 Texas 30-15. Another fun day of football! And the game was played at Texas!

The Irish played very conservatively last night. It was as if they just wanted it to be over. Three turnovers lead to Warren Central "drives" of 5, 12 and 2 yards. Very uncharacteristic for this year's team. They had excellent field position for most of the game, except before the fumble near the end of the half. Cameron Koers didn't play his best, some credit to the WC defense for that, as did the OL have a tough night. I received some information after the game that makes me hopeful that the injury situation will be better in the next week or two. Things are not as bad as it seems, but the Irish must play better than they have the las two games. After the Center Grove game, the offense has been quite spotty, to say the least. The good news is the defense has played a bit better in the last two games. Two weeks off with benefit the team both with preparation and healing. GO IRISH!!!!!

Another noon 'til midnight Saturday of football! What a strange day! And I even made time to watch some NHL hockey and some baseball playoffs. I'm like a kid in a candy store on Saturdays, this time of year.
