  1. This type of effort might have beaten NIU.
  2. Pretty good first half for the Irish.
  3. Do you have the JV score also? And last week's Freshman score too. This COVID craziness has me behind times. I'm better today after a good Irish win though!
  4. Cathedral 31, Bishop Chatard 7
  5. Cathedral 31, Bishop Chatard 7. The Irish had 3 TD's called back for penalties, 3 turnovers and a lot of penalties. Irish sophomore RB Xavier Dangerfield rushed for 201 yards.
  6. The Irish are a 10 point favorite, which I believe is a bit much. (I looked it up) And Jaron will play! Lookin' forward to watchin'!
  7. I wish I was in the Bishop Chatard parking lot, waiting for the gate to open. It's strange to be home on Friday night, this time of year, but I'll we watching on Indiana SRN and I appreciate their service. GO IRISH!!!!!
  8. It looks like weather may not be a problem in central Indiana tomorrow. It seems Flo is kind of fizzling out. Of course this is Indiana and anything can happen at any time.
  9. Cameron Koers is a junior with 3 games starting experience. He's doing a fine job and the Irish receivers are able. Devaugh Slaughter is the best of the bunch and he's average size. Tight end Owen Peterson had a big 2nd half last week at St. X. The O line has been good and I'm hoping Jalen Bonds returns to the backfield. Sophomore Xavier Dangerfield was the lone surviving RB last week but had a big game. That's all the information you get.
  10. It's like minor surgery. As long as it's somebody else it's minor, but it's not much fun when it's you! Isolating is the hardest part of it. I'm an active person. Hope to be back in the stands next week.
  11. Oh snap!😒
  12. I'm doing a bit better each day, but I don't want to contaminate that nice facility you have there. I'll be watching a live stream.
  13. It seems like it's always a hard fought battle. That's trite but true. I hope the weather is good, although I won't be attending. I tested positive for COVID yesterday. It's a mild case, so mild the doctor didn't prescribe any meds, only OTC ones. I sure hate to miss this one. Last season the Irish got out to a quick 21-0 lead, only to have the lights go out at Arlington, which probable was a blessing, and the Irish lost a two day affair.
  14. I'm a long time Irish fan, but I hope the Irish win, but don't cover, and Jaron Tibbs has 5+ receptions for a hundred or so!
  15. NO, I meant the Irish were a 28 point favorite against NIU. I have not idea what the line for Purdue is.
  16. Vegas had the Irish a 28 point favorite. The odds are really long to make the playoffs.
  17. Especially you have an outstanding kicker!
  18. I think you nailed it! Both need to be put to rest!
  19. Moore didn't lose to a directional school. Michigan lost to a legitimate top team.
  20. Dangerfield had an outstanding game, but he didn't get many downs off. It's best to have multiple running backs. Owen Peterson also had an outstanding game. I don't question the FG. The defense should be able to hold 'em for 1:17. Another one of the crazy kickoffs went OOB and gave St. X another 15 yards. What's up with the kickoffs?
  21. Yeah, it's pretty easy when the defense is giving you a 10+ yard cushion. He took advantage well as to what the Irish showed him though. Also the game may have worked out to the Irish advantage if they hadn't been down t one running back. I don't think the Bombers could have handled Bonds, but we'll never know.
  22. IMO, Riley Leonard is not a very good choice at QB. I didn't understand why Marcus didn't make a change, when it was apparent he wasn't getting the job done. There are other options at the position. It was a well deserved loss! I loved the emotion of the NIU coach after the game. They'll never forget this game! I see no way to the playoffs now for the Irish. You can't lose to a directional school at home and deserve a spot.
  23. Not much defense in this one. The Irish kicked a field goal with 1:17 left to take a 31-28 lead, only to have St. X drive the field and score a TD with 14 seconds left. We Irish fans have seen that before, many time throughout the years. Cathedral's last win at St. X came in 2000. It was a fun game to watch, unless you prefer a defensive battle.
