They look like #1 today! Their whipping #12 Mississippi around like they own 'em today. BTW, #55 for the Tide is Cathedral's own Emil Ekiyor. Look for him at right guard.
  2. You are not the ultimate to make these kind of decisions. That's why there are two head coaches! Rules were bent last night at LaSalle. Lots of things went "undetected." The game belongs to the teams, and not always the rule book. At least that's the way I see it. No one was harmed by what happened at Arlington last week, and maybe someone was spared an injury.
  3. Ernie is a great spokesperson for cancer survivors. Tomorrow marks 14 years since I had 5 ft. of cancerous colon removed. Get those colonoscopies!!!!!
  4. Pyne gave the Irish a chance, but actually the Irish had their behinds handed to them today. The turnovers made it easier for the Bearcats but after the opening drive and terrible interception, the life was gone from them. I hope to never see Jack Coan behind an Irish center again! I know that won't happen but Coach BK needs to take a lot of heat for his decision making, or non making, today. Pyne is clearly the best of the three Irish QB's.
  5. Wisconsin WAS rated before last week.
  6. Michigan 38, Wisconsin 17. Game at Wisconsin. Wisconsin overrated! Notre Dame is scuffling today, albeit Cincinnati is an outstanding opponent.
  7. If Sagarin doesn't have the capability to factor in out of state games, then it's nothing more than a fun thing not to be taken seriously. I always thought computers were smart.🤓
  8. I was there, Bob, and the running clock started midway in the 2nd half. I don't know why this would fire you up so much. Morton had only one first down in the entire game and that came when a young man caught a long pass, late in the game, and although he was 10 yards behind our DB's he dropped the ball at about the 40 yard line. It was the most one sided game I've seen in many years, maybe ever. Let the coaches decide when the clock runs in this kind of situation! It's cruel to score 90+ with the running clock. There's not a good reason for it.
  9. I almost forgot to give a shout out to Hosia Smith for his big 4th down run in the 2nd half. He's a big sophomore that can carry some folks down the field with him,. It was a key play as LaSalle was showing some life in the 3rd quarter.
  10. Outstanding!!! And Kendrick Gilbert did play a couple of series in the second half. He had ice on his shoulder at the end of the game. I sure hope all injuries were minor. That's the first football loss of the season. The freshmen must be pretty good!
  11. The Irish were penalized quite a bit, iirc, and Otis would have had well over 500 yards. I need to get out the video. It's grainy without commentary, but it's always great to watch.
  12. We arrived late because of a flat tire on a rental car and they had us park at least a mile away on the street. I asked the young man at the gate how many fans had entered the gates and he looked at his phone and said about 1100. There should have been parking for everyone. The facility was very nice and the hospitality inside the stadium was good The officiating was abysmal, and that's putting it mildly. Nice win for the Irish! More in the morning, it's time to get to bed. I have a recording of that game. I need to get it out and watch it again.
  13. Outstanding site! Almost too much information. Almost time to hit the road!😉
  14. Some of us forget that all games played count towards the playoffs in Ohio, even out of state games. The Irish have put a dent in the Lancers playoffs a couple of times in the past, and I'm hoping that continues tonight. It's always a dog fight when these two teams play. All four games were quite memorable for one reason or another.
  15. The old team bus will be warming up soon, and we old Irish fans will be heading to Cincy. I hope to see a lot of Irish fans tonight at LaSalle.
  16. 1999 was the last time Cathedral played at LaSalle. It was the night Otis Shannon rushed for 489 yards, and of course I was there. One of my buddies decided to take his wife to watch the Tall Ships, on the Ohio River, at the last minute, and he missed the game. Old George didn't miss another Cathedral football game until he passed away a few years back. You just never know what your going to see!
  17. Yep! The only meaningful rankings are those from downtown at LOS on Thanksgiving weekend.
  18. Cathedral played St. X at Arlington last year and it was a classic!
  19. Thanks. It was construction city around Shelbyville. I hope it all gets taken care of soon. FYI, for Indianapolis west side residents, the Dandy Trail bridge over I74 reopened today. This is big news for us that have been inconvenienced since March.
  20. IMO, it's never easy winning in Cincinnati.😉 And I wish Cathedral continued playing St. X this season. It's only the 2nd year in more than 20 years that these two haven't met.

    Clemson

IMO, Clemson wasn't a top 10 team, is not of 10 ten team and will not be a top 10 team this season.
