  1. Cathedral 7, Frederick Douglas 0 end of one.
  2. Live stream for this game is: glicod.com
  3. I'm hoping Lou is right and the Irish win by 10 tomorrow night!
  4. i I only get two "likes" day so I just have to respond with a LIKE!
  5. I'm hoping to live stream this game. Otherwise it's listening to the great Cathedral radio crew on I-Heart radio. GO IRISH!!!!
  6. This seems like a bit of an overkill, imho. I understand that some band directors are quite proud of their group, but that's what band competitions are for. They are the halftime entertainment for the football game and that's all. But I can't see any circumstances where the band director needs to be tased. Way overboard!
  7. Thanks for the input. I've watched some video, but it's difficult to really get a grasp of just how good someone is when the video is all positive plays. I sure wish I was getting to this game, but it's just too difficult a trip for old fans.
  8. That's not good either. I was not aware of Kelly's injury.
  9. Don't know much about Frederick Douglas, other than they won a KY state championship last year and they're relatively new (2017). I'm too old to make this trip so I'll be a keyboard jockey this week.
  10. Colts QB of the future Anthony Richardson needs to learn the slide. He's dealing with real men trying to make a living now.,
  11. I would never have believed that the Irish would scuffle against CMU. Looking ahead to next week, I guess. But the Irish still won 41-17! Estime is a beast! I'm glad he's Irish! Bring on the Buckeyes!
  12. I wish I was up there today! Beautiful day to be in South Bend!
  13. Cathedral 49, North Central 6 final
  14. Coach Allen is correct! Friday nights should be left for high school games! The BIG or any other conference doesn't need the Friday nights for revenue. They're making enough when they become the Big 18 next year.
  15. I played a lot of sports back in my day, I was a fast pitch softball catcher for most of those years, and believe me theirs a lot of pain when your knee gets bruised! It doesn't go away overnight either. Also I had a fractured knee cap that took some time to heal. Unprotected knees are just inviting injury. A helmet to the knee can put a player out for a substantial period of time.
  16. Irish played lights out in the first quarter and then the lights went out, both the team's lights and Arlington lights. Hats off to the Tojans for not giving up after been blitzed for 21 points in the first quarter. They just turned it on and the Irish had no answer. The Irish offense just was stagnant after the first 12 minutes. Maybe they thought it was going to be easy and the game was over. It wasn't. On to North Central next week. I'm also not sure that the AMS experiment isn't over for the Irish Too much upkeep for that facility.
  17. I'll be there for homecoming bright and early! Hope to see a lot of Irish fans there too!
  18. No, other games have been televised from AMS. I was under the impression that Bishop Chatard had an agreement with Indiana SRN to televise their games. Maybe that agreement has expired?
  19. Indiana SRN streams all Bishop Chatard games.
  20. I'll go along with the ortho folks!
  21. I can't believe that players are playing without knee pads! It's OK for kickers, but many wide receivers are not protecting that precious part of their anatomy! It might slow them down a couple of tenths, but one good hit and it can be bad for them.

    Clemson

I don't watch Paul Finebaum because he's far too opinionated at times. It's the first game of the season and all he!! isn't breaking loose yet. Let's wait a few more games to determine what programs will survive the season, and God only knows who will survive the craziness coming up beginning next season. I'm not defending Dabo, and don't rate him as an elite coach, but it's too early to get all wound up over one game. TCU and LSU fits this mold also. We'll know more soon enough. And Finebaum loves to stir things up. It was fun watching Brian Kelly twitching at the end of the Florida State game though. He could have left ND in a classier way.
  23. To say the least it was an interesting weekend of college football this week. Lots of big time programs, notably Clemson and TCU, had trouble hanging onto the ball. Hats off to Prime Time for winning over TCU and Mike Elko for putting a whoopin' on Clemson. It was a fun weekend for sure.
  24. Should be nice and cool for this one. I just hope the Irish aren't overlooking the Trojans. Playing other Catholic schools is always an adventure.
