  1. Stats: Penn vs Cathedral | Football | 9/3 | MaxPreps (check out the penalty yards😉)
  2. Yeah, the team shouldn't be looking past Bishop Chatard, for sure. It's never easy against the Trojans.
  3. I do wish the best for Penn the rest of the season. Hopefully they'll be back up to their par soon.
  4. If there's a better wide receiver in the state than Jaron Tibbs, I sure would like to see him!
  5. Thanks for sharing, I think!🤢 Thanks for sharing, I think!🤢
  6. Back to the game! I hope to see a lot of Irish fans at Arlington tonight! A reminder that this game is beginning at 7:30.
  7. I don't need the link but someone here might and it's also good to know that tickets are available at the gate. Thanks for the offer.
  8. The husband of a friend's husband died back in 2014. She was selling her winter home and I wife and I went down to help her. It was just a couple of miles from IMG. We passed by almost every day but didn't wander onto the campus. It sure was impressive from the perimeter though.🙂
  9. According to the Cathedral website, tickets will be sold at the gate. If, for some reason, this isn't correct someone please let us know.
  10. IMG is indeed not a regular high school program. Their campus is massive and includes a golf course. It is a prep school for athletic purposes only. I agree that they should not be labeled a "high school" by Espn. There are plenty of high schools in the United States of America to fill the needs of Espn.
  11. I would like to see the Irish offense get some momentum and some confidence. Less than 100 yards in penalties would be a plus also. It'll be good to get back "home."
  12. This game will be at Arlington and it will begin at 7:30pm (New York time)
  13. I was glad to see Western get this win. I'm sure it helped the healing process somewhat. We must buckle up!🙁
  14. That's truly sad! It's happening too much lately.
  15. I've seen teams penalized because they were not ready to begin the game or the second half. Some were even on the sideline when penalized.
  16. So the fair catch signal counts even if the ball hits the ground and the receiver catches it on the bounce? That's what we thought last night. It didn't matter in the outcome of the game, which was good. There were no penalty yards stepped off. Thanks, Bob!
  17. Brownsburg punted the ball and Cathedral's returner signaled for a fair catch. A Brownsburg player ran between the ball and the returner preventing the Cathedral receiver to catch in the air. The ball hit the ground and the Cathedral returner then picked up the ball on the first bounce and tried to advance the ball. Would this just be a delay of the game penalty for calling for a fair catch and then trying to advance it after it hit the ground? After a lengthy conversation the officials placed the ball back at the line or scrimmage, with no penalty, and Brownsburg was allowed to rekick. I don't remember seein this situation in all my years of watching Cathedral football, or football in general.
  18. We played Whiteland there last year in the playoffs. Tech used to be our primary "home field" but Arlington became available and we've been there the last 3 or 4 years primarily. We have taken over the maintenance on the field, so it's quite playable normally. It is still a grass field.
  19. Arlington has been Cathedral's home field for a few years now. It's close to Cathedral and available are the main reasons, imo.
  20. We counted Irish 110, Brownsburg 20. This is unofficial of course. It seemed with every flag there was a long conversation among the officials before assessing the penalties. It seemed that Brownsburg was tough to run on tonight. Hoping the Irish can get some offensive confidence against Penn next week.
  21. Irish win 20-7. Th Irish offense is still a work in process, but QB Danny O'Neil did throw an 80 yard TD to Jaron Tibbs in the first quarter. The Irish defense was stout, except for the Brownsburg drive that resulted in their only score in the 3rd quarter. The Bulldogs ran at will and seemed to have found a weakness in the Irish defense, but the coaches made some adjustments and the defense stiffened the rest of the game. Next up for Cathedral is Penn at Arlington next Friday.
