Not many times when a QB throws two pick sixes does his team win. As they said on the postgame, they had it won, gave it away and then went down and won it. Good start for next season. Buchner threw 3 picks, but played pretty well, in fact he was chosen as the game MVP. Estime just runs over folks, but he can also hit the corner for big yards. Good things to come for the Irish.

The Irish had a 38-31 lead and the ball inside the 10, with the biggest running back in the game in the backfield, and Buchner throws a 100 yard pick six. That's one of the biggest blunders in many years! The had the Gamecocks beat and threw the ball right to them! Still time for a game winning drive!

Pick six for SC, and they're up 21-7 in the first quarter. Looks like it could be a long day for the Irish.

The Irish look slow and rusty early on, especially defensively.

I hope the Hartman rumors are true, and I hope he has a dynamite season in South Bend, and elsewhere of course. I wished that the Irish would have played LSU in a bowl game this year. Now that would have been fun.

I honestly don't care who wins. But I enjoy the CFP more than the Super Bowl.

At 18 years old, it's easy to get you head spun with pretty things or by money. NIL does have a bearing on some's choice, for sure. Legacy and loyalty will undoubtedly take a hit.

I have no "likes" left but I like this. It's a shame that the defense can sometimes actually gain advantage with a penalty inside the 30 yard line. Of course, I respectfully disagree.

My suggestion is the same every year for awhile now. I would like to see OT start from, at least, the 15 yard line so a team could gain a first down and making a FG attempt a little more challenging. Preferably, it would even be better to begin at the 25 yard line like college OT.

Jaron Tibbs may not have been the best football player in the state of Indiana, but he sure was the best wide receiver in the state of Indiana. He surely deserved to be the Mr. Football recipient at his position. I'm sure it doesn't bother him too much that he didn't receive the "honor" but to those of us who watched him play for three years it's a downright shame. I've watched Cathedral football for more than 65 years, and Jaron's the best WR I've ever seen play at Cathedral School, and that includes great receivers like Terry McLaurin. There was no one better in the clutch than Jaron. I realize that I'm an Irish fanboy, but I don't take lightly what I just said. Shame on whoever passed on this fine young man, and great wide receiver!
