  1. IMO, this matchup wasn't a good one from the beginning. Purdue without a QB was awful to watch today. It just shows how important the QB position really is. And I will never again be a Brian Kelly fan. I don't care about anything he accomplished at Notre Dame, the way he left was classless!
  2. I searched other sites for opinions about the "targeting." It's about 50-50 and I've seen the play another dozen times or so. After spending so much time watching it, there should have at least been an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play. The "hit" can after he was on his way down. I'll be watching net Monday! Georgia will be the favorite but the underdogs did OK Saturday. TCU will try to take advantage of their chance. It's not every year you make it to the CFP final.
  3. What a game! Geogia survives! Missed FG! Oh, and Happy New Year!
  4. Close games tonight. It's keeping me up. I don't stay up 'til midnight usually on NYE.
  5. It could have been that way, but in real time it looks much different, at least to me and I just had cataract surgery.😄
  6. The 3rd quarter of the TCU/Michigan game reminded me of watching a tennis match! Not much defense in the 2nd game either. Or maybe just outstanding offenses. The 2nd half should be fun!
  7. I had no dog in the fight, but I watched it a half dozen times and it's my opinion he hit him with his shoulder in the upper back. I've seen quite a few non targeting calls made this bowl season, and it might be I'm watching more games than normal this year. I understand the Wolverine fans will be questioning that call, but in my opinion they got that one right. Oh, and the hit was unnecessary too! He was already on the way down.
  8. Tommy Rees was also the one that called the play for the winning TD! You sound like the "fans" on the Notre Dame free message board. Really, the misplays and the dumb calls, which the one on the last pick 6 was dumb, really don't matter. The only thing that really matters is the Irish got the W! The final score is all that makes the history book.
  9. 'Bama looks awfully good today!
  10. Oh yeah! He was rusty for sure. Missed a lot of throws early in the game but came through when he was needed. The Wake Forest QB better be good. It looks like an interesting spring for the Irish.
  11. Thanks for that! I guess that's somewhat of an achievement, at least the rushing and passing TD part.
  12. Not many times when a QB throws two pick sixes does his team win. As they said on the postgame, they had it won, gave it away and then went down and won it. Good start for next season. Buchner threw 3 picks, but played pretty well, in fact he was chosen as the game MVP. Estime just runs over folks, but he can also hit the corner for big yards. Good things to come for the Irish.
  13. The Irish had a 38-31 lead and the ball inside the 10, with the biggest running back in the game in the backfield, and Buchner throws a 100 yard pick six. That's one of the biggest blunders in many years! The had the Gamecocks beat and threw the ball right to them! Still time for a game winning drive!
  14. Pick six for SC, and they're up 21-7 in the first quarter. Looks like it could be a long day for the Irish.
  15. The Irish look slow and rusty early on, especially defensively.
  16. I hope the Hartman rumors are true, and I hope he has a dynamite season in South Bend, and elsewhere of course. I wished that the Irish would have played LSU in a bowl game this year. Now that would have been fun.
  17. I honestly don't care who wins. But I enjoy the CFP more than the Super Bowl.
  18. The Catholic Church doesn't ban you, you ban yourself. It's always your choice.
  19. Another QB, but the same results. IMO, Ballard should be the next to be shown the door. I understand Jimmy said he'd be back but he's the one pulling the trigger on some bad football players.
  20. It was good, despite COVID and frozen water pipes!😊
  21. I sure hope all here have a very blessed Christmas, and a very exciting and fun 2023! Is it August yet?

  22. It would make for some more commercial time with a lengthy review.
  23. At 18 years old, it's easy to get you head spun with pretty things or by money. NIL does have a bearing on some's choice, for sure. Legacy and loyalty will undoubtedly take a hit.
  24. The Boilermakers will be happy with Jaron Tibbs!
  25. Maybe it's because they're only 18 years old, or so.
