I have no "likes" left but I like this. It's a shame that the defense can sometimes actually gain advantage with a penalty inside the 30 yard line. Of course, I respectfully disagree.

My suggestion is the same every year for awhile now. I would like to see OT start from, at least, the 15 yard line so a team could gain a first down and making a FG attempt a little more challenging. Preferably, it would even be better to begin at the 25 yard line like college OT.

Jaron Tibbs may not have been the best football player in the state of Indiana, but he sure was the best wide receiver in the state of Indiana. He surely deserved to be the Mr. Football recipient at his position. I'm sure it doesn't bother him too much that he didn't receive the "honor" but to those of us who watched him play for three years it's a downright shame. I've watched Cathedral football for more than 65 years, and Jaron's the best WR I've ever seen play at Cathedral School, and that includes great receivers like Terry McLaurin. There was no one better in the clutch than Jaron. I realize that I'm an Irish fanboy, but I don't take lightly what I just said. Shame on whoever passed on this fine young man, and great wide receiver!

IMO, the real travesty is Jaron Tibbs not being named as Mr. Football Wide Receiver. He was the best wide receiver in the state of Indiana! Oh well, maybe he'll be named Mr. Football.

Pyne was never the answer for the Irish, and he never was treated badly at Notre Dame. You seem to have a burr up your behind when it comes to the Irish. Pyne left because he knew he didn't have the talent to compete.

I'm only surprised a bit that TCU retained a PO spot after losing in their championship game and winning almost all games within a score or two the whole season. Not much dominance. I guess just winning was enough. USC didn't get the same respect as TCU either. Alabama lost two games on the last play, one in OT.

I found that St. Edwards won 24-18 for the Ohio Div. one title! WTG!

What was the outcome?

Families have a tough choice to make. Some just can't afford parochial/private schools, and other just choose to send their kids to public schools for many reasons, some of the reasons being due to no tuition. Sometimes the families let the students make the decision.

Buchner will be the QB in the Bowl Game for the Irish if healthy. Pyne, of course, won't play. It was a very up and down year for Pyne. He looked overmatched quite a lot during the season. No way he would have been the starter this year had Buchner not gotten injured. And he wasn't going to be the Irish QB of the future. It's good for him to move on.
