  1. It'll be Decatur Central vs. Cathedral at Arlington Middle School for the sectional championship.
  2. Cathedral 57, Terre Haute South 18 Nice crisp playoff evening! Back home before 11PM.
  3. We have located tickets and will be on the road tomorrow night! 😊
  4. If you really want to attend a game and your school doesn't have extra tickets, get in touch with the home team's Athletic Department and see if they have any for sale. It has worked for us a couple of times this season, in fact we purchased tickets from the Center Grove AD. Sometime you have to wait until the end of the week to get 'em, but they'd rather sell them to you than just eat 'em.
  5. I like the idea of moving the game along with the running clock, but it so doesn't allow the bench players much time on the field. I enjoy hearing the cheers from player's families whose young men don't get much playing time. I don't like the idea of running up the score!
  6. Thanks for that information. I've been in touch with the Terre Haute South AD and he may have some tickets left Friday. He won't know until then. It's nice to have a link to watch but there's nothing like being there! GO IRISH!!!!!!!
  7. We are some old fans who would like to go to TH South to support the Irish. Does anyone have any information concerning tickets for this game or any playoff game? Is the IHSAA distributing tickets for the playoffs? We are not getting a response from school yet so we'd appreciate any ticket information.
  8. I did it again! I need a new calendar or some new glasses!😟 And I went to parochial school!
  9. Well the dates are wrong. My bad! 11-30 - Plainfield at Decatur Central, and Cathedral at Terre Haute South. 12-6 - Sectional championship game
  10. We have someone helping with the field maintenance. Some Cathedral grads have a lawn care business and the turf has been pretty good this year mainly because there hasn't been much wet weather. Also the field is not used except for our games. There's no band practice or anything else, that I'm aware of, on the field. The facility is still quite nice. I don't know what the financial arrangement with Arlington or IPS. Someone who hangs out here may know more about that.
  11. Yep! And some would say they just love "grass" fields. Notre Dame Stadium was terrible until they installed Field Turf.
  12. Do they bother to paint it green like a lot of schools do? It must be tough enough playing on dirt, let along painted dirt.
  13. Best game of the year for the Irish. Pitt isn't great but the Irish were strong in all three phases and won easily. Maybe they just needed to get out of South Bend for a game.☺️
  14. Great win for the Hoosiers! I'm really happy for Tom Allen!
  15. Cathedral plays on a grass field at their "home" at Arlington Middle School.
  16. I really hope that parents, students and fans follow the professionals and do all we can to assure that we make it through the playoffs. We need to wear our masks and distance ourselves from others as much as possible. It will be a shame if we have to curtail the playoffs because we got careless.
  17. Here are the test national rankings; Center Grove is ranked 25th and Cathedral 29th according to Max Preps. Center Grove is ranked 14th and Cathedral 25th according to USA Today. It really good to see the state of Indiana, and the Indianapolis area, well represented in the national ranking!😎
  18. Also Center Grove controlled time of possession. IIRC, they had the ball for 9 minutes more than Cathedral. Also CG's defense is elite!
  19. If Center Grove isn't hoisting the hardware at LOS, it will be a huge upset! They are solid defensively and the old saying is that defense wins championships. Oh, and their offense ain't too bad either!
  20. Thank you! I guess I'm not privvy to that info from Cathedral nowadays. Oops, duplicate answer. My bad!
