  1. Cathedral scores 27 point in the 4th quarter and win 40-29. It was quite a comeback! This game will be replayed on WHMB channel 40 at 10PM. If you're not a CG fan, you'll want to watch this one!
  2. Center Grove 14, Cathedral 13 at half.
  3. Yeah, I've got 'em. The bad snap hurt the Irish momentum, and the missed extra point too. Center Grove 14, Cathedral 13 at half.
  4. I agree with all you say! I also have not heard a good reason, except other states do it. More football is always good for this old fan!
  5. Cathedral at Center Grove is always a big game, and I won't be there. I had eye surgery, cataracts, Wednesday and all is fine but I've been told it's too soon not to be our in the night air so soon. I'll have my other one done after football season, and I'll be able to see the games as well as the officials.☺️
  6. Practice, scrimmage, jamboree and most importantly because we love football and there's revenue too. It doesn't hurt anyone to play an all-in, and it's never been my idea to conform because others do it. Just let everyone play! It gets weeded out soon enough.
  7. I just found out about this. PPV is getting traction for sure. I guess I would have paid to attend, so I might as well PPV. I sure miss not being there. My eye is healing well, and I'm seeing well out of my left eye. I will have my right one done after football season, which could be in a short time or after Thanksgiving.

  9. I had cataract surgery on my left eye today, so I won't be in attendance for this game. Everything is OK but my doctor doesn't want me out in the night air so soon after surgery. I guess I'll just be a keyboard jockey Friday night.
  10. Good one! Don't let Ballard see that list!
  11. The QB's need some protection, but not as much as they're getting nowadays. And it seems that the rule isn't applied equally.
  12. IMO, the more football the better. No one is hurt with the all in, but someone's going to be hurt by a qualification format. Let's keep what we have. It ain't hurtin' anyone.
  13. This game will be on WHMB, Channel 40 in Indy. I believe you can see a live stream at game time, and there will be a replay on TV at 10PM. Also, the game will be broadcast on 1260AM in Indy, and they can be found on I-Heart radio for those out of the Indianapolis area. IMO, the trick plays will stay in the bag during this game, in preparation for a possible rematch in the semi-state. Of course, the Irish have a tough road just to get to the semi-state.
  14. It would have indeed been a big game! Too bad we didn't have a playoff system back then.

  17. Lawrence North and Cathedral North Central and Lawrence Central
  18. Better bring this back to page one.
  19. Draw begins with 1A at 5PM today. ihsaa.org is streaming it live and the radio network with broadcast live.
  20. He now holds all the Irish records for receiving for a tight end. His blocking efficiency isn't entering into that, but he does have room for improvement in that part of his game. And he's only a junior, but should declare for the NFL after this season. All things indicate that will happen.
  21. The Oklahoma State comeback wasn't a surprise, they were almost a CFP team. I don't remember offhand the USC game 3 years ago, but I do remember the Anthony Davis game and that one turned at halftime. Last night the Irish were up 25-6 and BYU was deep in their own territory with nothing going, and then there's the run for the first down. It took the Irish a while to get the momentum back. I may be overstating some, but it was a game that it looked like the Irish had the game won and let up.
  22. He has Jaron Tibbs and Kenrick Gilberts from Cathedral coming in next year. Boilermaker fans will enjoy the play of both, especially Tibbs. He can catch the ball and run with it after catching it. He had an 80 yard TD call back last night where he just outran the entire Brebeuf secondary. Lineman down field.
  23. IMO, the Colts need, and not in any order, a new GM, a new coach, a new left tackle and a young QB that they can develop. Right now they don't have any outstanding talent at these positions, again imo. Also, that's not all they need either.
  24. That was as sudden a flip as I've seen in all my years of watching Notre Dame football. I'm glad they regained their toughness and held on for the win, 28-20. Going for two early in the game makes you feel like the coaching staff isn't sure if the Irish were going to score some more. Kick the ball and score more td's! Also, keep your head in the game when you have BYU 3rd and 16 or 17 inside their own 5. That first down started the slide. A 25-6 lead in the 3rd quarter, doesn't mean the game is over! Michael Mayer is, by far, the best tight end in ND history, and the best in the Country now.
