Might as well get this one going. I hope to see able to "see" this one. I'm having cataract surgery on my left eye Wednesday. I can't put it off any longer.

The longest play of the night was negated by a penalty. Jaron Tibbs took a short pass from Danny O'Neil, made a couple of moves and then sped past the Brebeuf defensive backs for what would have been about an 80 TD. It was called back for a lineman downfield. I know the Irish linemen are quick, but not that quick.😉 Jaron is simply the most gifted football player in the state of Indiana. He's a pretty good basketballer too.

I was 12 when I saw my first 500, and younger than that when I saw my first dirt race. Back to the game now.

Cathedral 42, Brebeuf Jesuit 21 final

I did! The Irish won 42-21 and it was a beautiful night for football! The Braves had no penalties tonight, but they turned the ball over 6 times. Next up for the Irish will be Center Grove.

Oh yeah! I'm a dirt track fan! I've probably been to 500 sprint car races in my life. I've also seen 67 consecutive Indy 500's. I do go to some paved tracks too.

That's me getting to the top of Arlington's home bleachers. I'm sure glad there's a substantial rail! It's about time to leave for the homecoming tailgate. I hope to see a lot of Irish oldtimers at the tailgate and game tonight.

It was ugly!!!! But the Colts won 12-9 in OT. Bronchos went for the win at the 5 yard line on 4th and one, and the defense stopped 'em. Winning ugly is sure better than losing ugly!

Kyle Cummins lives in Princeton and he's won some big USAC sprint car races this season. One paid $35,000!

It looks like some warm clothes will be needed for tomorrow night. It will not be playoff cold, but colder than it's been the last few weeks.

Does anyone have the Cathedral/LaSalle JV and Freshman scores from today yet?

The Irish played well tonight! Final score Irish 37, Lancers 6 The Irish rolled up a 30-0 halftime lead, and scored on their first possession of the 2nd half to bring on the mercy rule. The Lancers scored on a long 76 yard run in the 4th quarter to snap Cathedral's 11 straight shutout quarters. Also Jaron Tibbs is now the all time Irish leader in receiving yards, and becomes the first Irish receiver to go over 2000 yards. He's the real deal! Boilermakers fans will enjoy his receiving talents, I'm sure! Best of luck to the Lancers the rest of the season. They play St. X next week. The Irish play Brebeuf Jesuit back at Arlington Middle School next week for homecoming week. And the Arlington grass field held up quite well tonight. Oh, and it was good to be back in the stands this week. I wasn't a very good keyboard jockey the last two Friday nights.😉
