I'm hoping that someone didn't just pick it up and throw it in the trash. Yeah, it's fun to see the looks on the youngsters when I play the Walkman at the games. I'm amazed I've had it this long.

I'm sorry I was so outside. I'll try to do better next time. In the mean time, the Irish played well tonight. Now it's on to the annual game of the century next week. I guess the Irish will find out just how good they are next week at Arlington. I'm also looking forward to the sectional draw Sunday. Coming east on 86th St., from the poor side of town, I witnessed an outstanding rainbow tonight on my way to the game. I also lost my old Sony Walkman that I've had for 25 years or so. I guess I'll have to check with Brebeuf this week to see if anyone found it and turned it in. It has enormous sentimental value.😒

That's good news. The Irish will need everyone healthy in the next few weeks. I remember the last time at Brebeuf when Cam Jordan was injured and it didn't help to lose him for the playoffs. It was cold and rainy that night!

I've been told that you tube has a two week free trial and Irish fans may be able to subscribe and then unsubscribe after the game. I'm not sure that's possible but I'll give it a try. I'm not sure that you tube has the ACC Network but we'll soon find out.

Is the Va. Tech game still scheduled to be on the ACC Network? If it is I'm SOL. It's difficult to get 1430am radio at night too. Oh well, back to the past.

You never heard, or read, me say it was a quality win. I'm knowledgeable enough to know that Wisconsin was not a top rated team, and I don't know nothin'. Sad! I think maybe BK is nearing his final days in South Bend. This is a terrible decision!

Irish fans better get there early as the seating is limited, very limited. It's the only field that spectators can't sit at the 50 yard line. Hopefully the Irish can continue to get better.

The new Hammond Morton coach wants to rebuild or build the team's future. It's his choice to schedule whom he wishes. And non conference Cathedral is always looking for game.

I watch Emil every week. They did have a bit of trouble a couple of weeks ago. You must have missed it. Winning never gets old, imho.

So the safety of the players isn't uppermost for officials? Do I understand that correctly? I don't think you understand the differential between Morton and Cathedral. I understand your adherence to the "book" but some circumstances should transcend the book. I don't write rules but I have a strong feeling that they aren't written in stone either.

Someone spoke to me after the game last night and said that I knew everything. I hope he hangs around here because I want to respond by saying, I don't know a whole lot, but I've seen a whole lot in my 60+ years of watching Cathedral football. I wish I could remember it all!

The shooting took place outside the stadium so metal detectors would not have been a factor. Also it's another example of someone having a gun that shouldn't have one. It's my fervent hope that incidents like this will be rare again.

Glad to hear that! Sean will have him winning in no time. It's amazing how many outstanding coaches the Irish have in all sports. And not only outstanding teams and coaches, but teachers, administrators and leaders also! We are blest!
