I don't think basketball should be all in either. I also don't know of a state where it isn't. But "because its always been that way" isn't a valid reason for not changing.

You don't need any metrics to tell you that a team that went 1-8 shouldn't be playing in any playoffs. If you do I got nothing for you.
True but it should be obvious that a system is broken if you see 0-9 or 1-8 teams in the playoffs.
I wouldn't call Zionsville beating Dwenger an upset. That was probably a pick em game. But absolutely no way, unless Cathedral took the night off would Dwenger stay within 2 TDs of the Irish. Neither will Zionsville.
Not shocking that the IHSAA would screw that up also. I think the success factor is a good idea but the 2 year cycle is terrible. 1 really good class means you stand a good chance of getting bumped up. 2 years of success doesn't make you dominant.
