  2. Game week, the new PAC is about to begin...
  3. @Titan32 said Central looked amazing against GS in the scrimmage... 9 err give or take a few years running! 😀
  4. I vote all non - athletes go virtual and put all the athletes in bubbles according to sport. A little more work for the teachers, some ticked off parents.... all for the betterment of our society! Think that will go over? 😁
  5. Mater Dei returns to practice https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/2020/08/13/mater-dei-football-team-returns-practice-reitz-scrimmage-off/3363771001/
  6. Almost posted this earlier but I figured you would get to it eventually...😁
  7. I would think this would be true with nearly every team in the state...
  8. I do not believe that, I believe positive test are to be expected. Protocols to be followed, precautions will be made, games may be canceled but not the season. Not in jeopardy at this time IMO.

  10. I'm not reading thru 14 pages of this so bear with me. Those that believe the season should be cancelled or postponed to the spring, what would be the signs to return to play? What are the deciding factors that will make you feel comfortable to have a season?
  11. No guarantee that ND will play Clemson twice. Both are capable (ND much more so) of losing a regular season game outside of this matchup. You could also say, ND's schedule will be a lot tougher if the make it to the playoffs and have to play bama or Ohio state. As their schedule sits now, it is considered easier than it would have been. If they play Clemson twice that would change things, if they go to the college football playoffs that again would change things.
  12. I thought the main reason for a shutdown was to "flatten the curve." Knowing the virus was going to spread to nearly everyone at some point but to keep hospitals from being too full to handle the ones who would need help. Now hospitals are sitting below half capacity in our area and nurses with 20 years experience are being let go because the hospitals are going broke.
  13. iF they play Clemson twice that would obviously upgrade their SOS, but overall it is much weaker. One or two games doesn’t make the schedule
  14. I looked again at the IHSAA web page and didn’t see the 500 total anywhere, maybe I missed it! Here is what they have on their website for suggested seating limitations
  15. Where did you see the 500 total number?
  16. 1s vs 1s offense/defense, then 2s, JV, freshmen? How many kids GS have out freshmen thru senior this year? 110+?
  17. Believe they are having a meeting or vote Monday night per @TheStatGuy in another topic
  18. Will have to be able to separate "areas", with designated entrances and restrooms. Will be difficult at some without the use of porta potties. How many entrances could Reitz Bowl have, maybe four? Or could they split those entrances, for example at field level have two ticket areas with a divider. One entrance goes to the bowl side and one goes to the visitor side?
  19. 250 max per set of bleachers Per IHSAA website:
  20. ? I don't believe Southridge has postponed anything, pretty sure they started school this week also.
  21. I worry about the close talkers, the people that have to stand on top of you to talk to you. These people have to feel so uncomfortable right now, probably feel like they need to yell all the time. 😂 I would say your guess is close, maybe without the law enforcement asking anyone to leave. I can't see our county sheriff saying he is not going to legally enforce people to wear mask and then escort out a parent or family member because they keep moving to close to other fans that don't seem to mind. I think you will only see things being enforced if someone complains.
  22. It will be interesting to see how they manage the areas people like to stand and watch at the small schools. Place markers on the ground as a standing spot and place them six feet apart? Most small schools have really small visitor bleachers, how will those spots be given out?
  23. No Navy this year for the Irish, also the schedule is much easier now. Arguably the best schedule ND has had in over 50 years.
