A real shame. Worked many games over the years that they televised. Always a class group. They happened to air my last game as an on-field official. Afterward, they sent me a couple of DVDs of the game, unsolicited. Good people.

Very disappointing news.  Those guys were the best!  A tremendous loss for Northern Indiana high school athletics.  I loved how they did games for some of the smaller area schools.  It was always a thrill when they came down to Bourbon to broadcast from the Trojan Trench.

I hated reading this news yesterday but was not surprised. Top-notch group of folks and I am disappointed for the kids who won't be featured on the Game of Week. Too many streaming options for folks to watch games on Fridays in real time now, so I am sure selling the ads to make this go got to be a bigger and bigger job.

The streaming options also have to sell ads.  Let's not demonize one group of broadcasters for the sake of others.

I think he was saying the streaming options were doing a better job because they were broadcasting games live making it more difficult for WHMB/WHME to sell ads for tape delay broadcasts that likely lost viewers because they had already watched the live stream. I hope all sports fans understand the importance of advertising in a broadcasters ability to deliver content at little or no cost to the viewer.

Always enjoyed the 46 game of the week, especially the Saturday morning replay. Remember when Bob Nagel used to be on the call.
On an unrelated related note, who did Mishawaka recently make an agreement to broadcast their games?

Mishawaka signed with Pulse FM (radio)). Ironically, owned by the same group as WHME, but handled separately.

So Mishawaka just signed on with the game of the week broadcast? That is a little odd.
