Reitz should control North. Jasper big over Bosse. Castle wins but within 10. VL big over Central. Quote

But with MD-Memorial game, you can throw it all out and it’s pretty much an opening week game for them. Last year, Memorial was a heavy favorite in the game and only won by 3, even before Fisher got his second half injury, it was still close. Edited September 8, 2024 by TigerFan20 Quote
LC_Bears_04 Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Winners: Memorial Reitz Jasper Castle Vincennes Lincoln Quote
Football Fanatic Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 (edited) Reitz at North - hard to predict this one. I could see it being very close but could also see Reitz winning by multiple scores. I think the North defense is good enough to keep them in the game. But can North score on Reitz? I will take the Panthers by three scores. Jasper at Bosse - this one won't be close. Jasper is much more physical and I don't think the Bulldogs will be able to stop the run game. I will take the Wildcats by four scores. Castle at Harrison - I do think the Warriors will hang around in this one. They have proven that they can put up points, but will they be able to get any stops on defense? Could be a high scoring shootout. I will take the Knights by two scores. Lincoln at Central - This could be a good game, especially being at Central. The Bears have the athletes to make this a game, but I think the Alices are a bit too physical for them. I will take the Alices by two scores. GAME OF THE WEEK: Memorial at Mater Dei - heck of a matchup here. Memorial is as good as we thought they would be while MD is better than we thought they would be. This is one of those matchups that is typically close regardless of records or skill levels. This could go either way but I do think overall amount of talent will prevail. I will take the Tigers by one score. Edited September 9, 2024 by Football Fanatic Quote

VL is still grass, Castle just got turf over the summer. But, it looks like the weather has shifted a little bit since last night. Edited September 11, 2024 by TigerFan20 Quote
TigerFan20 Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 Just remembered Lincoln is playing at Central, unfortunately, no Mud Bowl in the SIAC this weekend. If it’s supposed to rain a lot. Quote

tango Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Actually, only a handful of the 77 games between Memorial and Mater Dei have had a combined score of 15 points or less, so I'd expect both sides to hit paydirt a few times. This will be the first scrambling QB Memorial has seen so I'll be interested to see how the D matches up. Quote
tango Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Memorial (-4) at Mater Dei - Should be a huge crowd for the Catholic Bowl and the only game that should still be interesting in the 4th Q. Kendrick will be the difference. I'll take the Tigers 27-24. Reitz (-11) at North - For all the beef up front, the North O struggles to put points up. I'll take Reitz 35-10. Jasper (-14) at Bosse - Jasper puts a running clock on the hapless Bulldogs 42-7. Castle (-17) at Harrison - Harrison is competitive and separating from Bosse and Central, but still can't break into the win column. Knights 34-14 Lincoln (-21) at Central - After a week celebrating the first W since 2021, things crumbled quickly for the Bears last week, highlighted by 2 ejections on the same play before the half and Coach Artis going into the parent section at the half (and it wasn't to sing Kumbaya). Lincoln 38-6. Quote

No injuries. 1 Quote
TigerFan20 Posted September 13, 2024 Author Posted September 13, 2024 Reitz at North - Reitz has looking pretty well the first 3 games, North’s Defense has also looked pretty good too. I’ll take the Panthers by 2 scores. Castle at Harrison- Castle’s offense has started to show signs of life and Harrison has seen improvement. Give me the Knights by 4 scores. Jasper at Bosse- Jasper played well against Reitz last week and kept it close for most of the game. Bosse has had a tough season so far. Wildcats in a running clock. Lincoln at Central- Lincoln appears to be figure out a couple of games and had a decent showing against MD last week until the 4Q. Central has seen glimpses, but still has a long way to go. Alices in a running clock. Game of the Week Memorial at Mater Dei- Biggest game in the SIAC between 2 undefeated teams. Both teams have looked like contenders so far. Memorial has a dynamic offense and a stout defense. Mater Dei has a high passing game along with a pretty good defense. But give me the Tigers by 6. Quote
