Not bad for the little farm county in NE Indiana to get 2 out of 3 to semi state. Neither will be favored this coming week. 4 years in a row they had a 1A state finalist. Getting it done!

What do you say @FlyingHigh @260AC @Thor77? Small town football grows here!

I had going to semi state as above to meeting expectations with as much lost to graduation. My wonder is if Bluffton was in Eastern's sectional, would we have had another ACAC regional? I believe we would have.

Rochester is probably kicking themselves over that Eastern game.

Game Day Adams County! Though both are road underdogs, I'm still excited we have 2 programs playing for a shot at a trip to the state finals in Indy. Having family attending currently and attended in the past at both schools, as well as Bellmont, these games mean a lot to us and our communities. Though rivals when playing each other  the last couple of weeks have shown the support the county has for both programs & wanting them to succeed.

I think everyone can agree that the word gritty can be used to describe both of these teams. Starting with the Starfires, the Tri comeback & upsetting MG show that. A lot of teams would have folded in the position they were in against Tri at half. They found a way and look where they are now. As for the Jets, I think a lot of people thought it may be a rebuilding year after the Garrett game. Turned out the Railroaders are pretty good & playing at semi state as well. The Jets picked themselves up and got back to their winning ways. This year's senior group has always been in the shadows of the class of 2024 since the youth football days. They have always done the dirty work without a lot of recognition. They may not have been as gifted in terms of athleticism as the class before them, but they made it up with toughness, determination, and GRIT!

As the Starfires head to North Judson and the Flying Jets to Andrean, soak in the moment that you are playing for a shot at state again. Embrace the underdog mentality and let it all out on the field. Show your opponents that grit you have shown us these past few years & weeks. After all Adams County is a farming & manufacturing county full of people that display hard work, determination, stubbornness, and grit. Win or lose tonight we are extremely proud of how you represent our small county! Go Starfires! Go Flying Jets!

I Love this!

I like the Starfires chances if the there is no precipitation or heavy winds. I just don't think anyone at the 1a level can stop their offence. I have also watched some film on North Judson and from what I've seen the do seem to have a fair share of fumbles and other like miscues. I do think that this game will be much closer than people are predicting.

Go Stars

I don't think Bluffton would have just from seeing them on film, but it was the most wide open sectional in the North in my opinion so who knows they might have been able to.

How it ended hurt. Shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with. Too many mistakes and turnovers by the Zebras. Eastern made big plays when they needed to. The Zebras return 9 starters on defense and 8 on offense. The Juniors going to be Seniors seemed very hungry and ready to get to work for the next season. Time will tell!

Back to the Adams County teams. Don't want to change this thread to something that it isn't. Very impressed with the football being played throughout the county. Look forward to one day getting to play against AC, Bluffton, or possibly even South Adams due to success factor in a sectional or regional. Best of luck to the two teams tonight. Both teams will have their hands full tonight!

2/12 teams still playing in the north are from Adams County. Pretty awesome.

Pretty solid. Hell of a story if both teams make it down to Indy. When are the Adams County teams going to pick up some of the small division SAC programs? I'd love to see Luers/Adams Central or Concordia/South Adams. I think South Side would be a could pick up for the Adams County schools as well.

Think Luers & AC are scheduled but those are thought to be some down years coming up for AC unless they can get all 4 grades to come together for production.

I didn't know AC had down years.

Oh yes we have and unfortunately my senior season was one with injuries & etc. I know we had some Sophomores & Juniors focus on other sports this year. Also the freshman class has had some struggles and had a couple good players move to South Adams. The 8th grade improved this year but struggled in youth & 7th grade. 7th grade was decent but has had some struggles. Same for our 5th & 6th grade, though they turned it on after SA embarrassed them. Was a great wake up call. South Adams has some players coming up. Our MS & HS staff do a great job though off teaching the fundamentals and getting the best out of what they have.

The last sentence seems to be an understatement. Outsidethehuddle.com has Luers and AC playing in 2026. Damn good opportunity for Adams County to showcase what they have.

Pretty sure Bluffton has experience running through that sectional.

Starke County was a 1 point loss away from experiencing this as well. Knox lost that nail biter to Garrett.

Very cool that the small Adams County schools were able to pull it off.

Great season for South Adams! AC!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 straight finals appearances!

Flying Jets manhandled them on offense for the first 3 quarters of the game. Defense bent but didn't break. Gonna be a tough matchup with a Linton squad that is firing on all cylinders. Both teams have played a tournament path proving them worthy of being a champion.

Wowzer huge program win from AC. i will say im suprised at how terrible the field looked, multiple dry mud patches, you'd think a school like that would plant grass or upkeep a field. Grats to  AC and Linton!
