His relief in a pinch was HUGE and gave the Irish much needed momentum. Keep it rolling. Wish they would have planned a series for him as part of the normal game plan. Show something they have not seen yet. 2 Quote
Sparty Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Huge stop. Keep that momentum. Trick play to open up this drive? Decent field position. Let’s go! Quote
Sparty Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 I’m running at Carter or any direction when he is out. When he is in, can’t have these long development plays. He’s too fast. Balance the formation and can audible away from him if he stays in every play. For some reason he’s been out 3 plays in the 2nd half. Dudes a game wrecker Quote

Another two wrap around scores for the Irish. Three at the end of the half, and seven to start the 2nd half. That shot on Evans may have been a target, but no call. Quote
Irishman Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Nice drive for the lead, and man, what a run to finish it. Quote

Irishman Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Horrible communication on defense. WAY too many crossing routes are coming wide open, and several missed tackles. And what the hell was Leonard looking at? Even if 39 does not pick that, the DB sure would have. Quote
Irishman Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Gift drive for Penn State. And just how in the hell does the same officiating crew that had the Georgia Notre Dame game have this game as well? Quote

PHJIrish Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 What a game! Maybe God is Irish! He wouldn't let his Mother's team lose tonight! On to Atlanta to play for the Natty! 4 minutes ago, Irishman said: I know a few people will be a little tired tomorrow at work lol What a game though. I'm glad I took my blood pressure medicine before the game! I can't wait 'til a week from Monday. It doesn't matter who the Irish play! 2 Quote

Guy never quit and packed up. Worked and came through when his team needed him. Hope a lot of kids saw that and their dads emphasized the importance of this moment. What an absolute atrocious DPI call on Kiser’s interception. 6 Quote

Coach Freeman never lost trust in him. Quote
PHJIrish Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 That may have been on of the best team victories this old man has ever seen. RL just put it best that a lot of players had a huge hand in getting to Atlanta. 2 Quote

Coach Nowlin Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Leanard was very poignant in post game like always, hard not to root for kid like that, but yes, he said not sure why he here on the mic with the gal post game on field, before the stage, gave lots of love to Angelli Penn St, tough situation, you want to try to get one big play to get back into business, I contend, if they didn't pop that decent run to start the drive, they probably don't attempt to throw late over the middle there and have that major WHOOOPSIE I continue to be a huge fan of Coach Freeman, fell in love with him at Purdue when I was just getting going in this coaching gig at spring practice/clinic. SUPERSTAR. ( Bears please say hello ) To a player and Coach Freeman, loss week 2 galvanized this team, they are not in this same spot if thier 1 loss was to like USC or Texas AM or even Florida State to a certain extent. Coach Freeman was excellent on stage talking about that or maybe it was the on field afterwards.. When adversity hits, is when you see true growth , summarized.... Happy for my ND pals, can't say I am going to be actively ROOTING for them, but I can tip hat in respect for how htey are winning game.s 4 Quote

He was vital in turning the tide there at the end of the half, and he breathed life into the team. Still, too small of a sample for a polled game MVP. Wagner getting that ball away from Carter in the pile after the strip sack was equally significant. 2 hours ago, Sparty said: He did very well and not trying to take anything away from him, but your above assessment was absolutely correct.
