I'm a regional fan. I watch Notre Dame, Big Ten, and interconference games between the Big Ten, SEC, and ACC. Very little interest outside of that. Maybe some games between Georgia, Alabama, and LSU.

Gonna play the devil's advocate here. From what I understand the relationship with the undergrad student occurred while he was separated from his wife? Can't say that's the end of the world kind of stuff. Gotta be careful though when you're in the limelight that being a head college football coach puts you in. That's something a CEO at a Fortune 500 company can get away with, not a head football coach at a D1 college.

let’s hire a firm to investigate our own program.

What’s the alternative? Do the investigation in house? I can just imagine your comments if they had gone that route. They hired Jenner & Block, an outstanding law firm with a lot of experience in this sort of thing. It will be very expensive, but they will get their money’s worth.

EDIT: The better question is what will happen to their report? Will Michigan make it public? I have no idea if the Michigan equivalent of the Freedom of Information Act applies to something like that. But, just for comparison purposes, Notre Dame hired independent experts to investigate the Declan  Sullivan tragedy back in 2010. The entire unredacted report was immediately made publicly available, and you can still access it today at https://www.nd.edu/assets/docs/notre-dame-investigation-report.pdf I would expect Michigan would do the same.

If Notre Dame was playing I would probably watch.

I take back every negative thing I ever said about you. 😂🤣😅

It's not about that, it just has no appeal to some. I see neither of these teams as a contender to win the whole thing. For me, it's just a bowl game and nothing more.

On OU’s campus and a rematch from the “upset” at Alabama a few weeks ago.  I will be watching as an ND fan.  To each their own.

Every time someone brings up Bobby Petrino, I think and laugh of that picture of him beat to h*** with the neck brace on.  Still in coaching gear, if memory serves me.

How else will you be able to come on here in the event of a Bama loss to cry and whine about Notre Dame’s deservedness?

Sorry, I just have no desire to watch an intraconference SEC game that features two teams that Notre Dame would beat by two touchdowns. No appeal.

Guess you missed the point of Michigan hiring someone to investigate their program about 3 years too late after the Harbaugh fiasco. Had nothing to do with them going outside to do the investigation, just how long it took

I still don’t understand the point you’re trying to make. What would you have them do now, other than exactly what they’re doing?

Should have investigated the program with an outside firm when the Harbaugh incidents occurred, which was 2-3 years ago. If they had, likely Moore’s relationship with a staffer that was widely known on campus, would have been discovered, he wouldn’t have been promoted to head coach, and the dumpster that is happening right now would have been avoided

Man, we’re down by 17 with 45:00 minutes to play. I guess we’ll just go home now.

People who post apocalyptic thoughts DURING games need mental evaluations.

Well, I guess Alabama was deserving…or is this where we crap on Oklahoma?

I can’t keep up.

Not every program can beat the Tide in the postseason I guess.

Takes a special group for sure.

Congrats to Bama for breaking their two year losing streak in postseason play.

That one didn’t age well….

Who won? I stopped watching at halftime. Like Muda, watching a series on Apple+

Neither team impressed me any. Too many fundamental mistakes in one half to be 13 games into a season. I couldn’t watch any more

Missed a good one.

Whatever. But my question remains unanswered: What would you have them do now, other than exactly what they are doing?
