foxbat Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 West Lafayette 34 - LCC 27 Final. Last time LCC was 1-4 at the start of a season was Nay's first season back in 2018. Last time West Lafayette was 2-3 was back in 2005. Quote

foxbat Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) North Central 41 - Harrison 28 Final. North Central has more wins this season than in the previous four seasons combined. Harrison off to its worst start since 2018 when they went 6-6, but won a sectional. Edited September 20, 2025 by foxbat Quote
ptr Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Bloomington South 42 Terre Haute South 14 (1:28, 4th) Despite going to a conservative offense in the 4th, the Panthers managed to tack on another TD. Backup RB Shaun Cooper has five rushing TDs in the game for the Panthers. Quote
ptr Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) Bloomington South 49 Terre Haute South 14 (final) It looked like the scoring was over with as the clock wound down, but a pick-6 tacked on another Panther TD with 58 seconds left. Back up RB Shaun Cooper finished with 221 yards rushing and five rushing TDs for the Panthers. B-South finished with 450 yards total offense to TH-South's 135 yards. Despite dominating the game, the Panthers had a ridiculous 9 penalties for 90 yards in the first half alone, and finished with 12 penalties for 115 yards. Penalties have been a problem for the Panthers in all five games so far on the season. Edited September 20, 2025 by ptr Quote
PHJIrish Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Cathedral 54, Southport 0. The Cardinals haven't scored this season. The Irish pulled their starters early in this one, and all that dressed seemed to get in the game. Southport has a great facility, it was their homecoming, but they just couldn't score even against Irish JV. I do give them credit for playing hard. Quote

You really have to feel for the Cardinal players considering all of the work they put in (I assume) getting ready for the season. They just don't have the talent (I assume again) to compete against just about anyone. Bloom. North shutout Terre Haute North 56-0 and TH North has a game with Southport later on, so someone has to win that game, and maybe the Cardinals can score some points in that game. Quote

I parked next to the Southport coach's father-in-law and I asked what was the problem. He said we're young, we're not very big and we don't have much talent. It's a shame that a school of that size doesn't have some football players. They're similar to North Central and Tech in that respect. Quote
