I was just generally and genuinely asking if Castle is better this season? Castle's sample size isn't reliable. They've played the 150th toughest schedule, according to Sagarin -- so, basically a low 3A/high 2A schedule. Quote

I kinda expected there would be a some growing pains with a new QB replacing Morgan and losing Bobe at WR. 21 hours ago, Fkfootball said: Is Castle good this year? I personally don't think there is a whole lot to take away from the results in the SIAC so far. I would say Reitz is the best. Central has some decent athletes but still has a long way to go. Bosse is going to struggle. Harrison gave North a scare, which is surprising. North coughed up two winnable games. We have a long way to go and need to get some injured guys back to beat anybody good. Haven't seen MD yet. Castle seems down a little from last year. 3 games this week intrigue me: Memorial at Mater Dei Reitz at North Boonville at Central Quote

There was a news story about how they were so beaten down due to injuryies last year that this year was going to be a big rebound. 1 Quote

MHSTigerFan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago On an SIAC note, I’m hearing that Memorial alum Branson Combs will be starting at LB for the Jacksonville Jaguars tomorrow. What a journey for him: - He gets only 1 scholarship offer from SIU (which was puzzling, Branson was dominant in HS). - Becomes an ILB for the first time, gaining about 25 lbs. - Plays his way to a Wake Forest offer for his final season. - Goes undrafted, signed by JAX. Makes their practice squad in Year 1. - Falcons try to pick him up off the Jags’ PS. Jags protect him by putting him on 53 as a rookie. - Plays ST in Year 1 - Set to start at LB for Week 1 of his second year. 1 Quote
AW0352 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just looking at scores, is North the best or one of the best 1-3 teams in the entire state? Lost by 3 to Castle at the 1 yard line, lost by 4 to Memorial with key turnovers, and by 4 to Reitz. Those three teams are a combined 11-1. what about Harrison? Scrappy play and opportunity football had them in both games with North and Castle. SIAC is always interesting. Quote

AmericanFootball Looked like North had the lead very late in the 4th last night until Reitz scored a touchdown with under 10 seconds left in the game. Quote
