PHJIrish Posted Monday at 12:06 AM Posted Monday at 12:06 AM (edited) The Irish are off to a slow start. The had a penalty and a blocked punt on their first possession and the Badgers are knocking on the door. Irish hold 'em to a FG! Edited Monday at 12:08 AM by PHJIrish additional material Quote
PHJIrish Posted Monday at 01:41 AM Posted Monday at 01:41 AM The Irish are having a bad first game again, and that's redundant anymore. They just can't run the ball. Their longest run being 5 yards. They really miss Love and Price! They've used three running backs so far. Coach Freeman has his hands full here! Oh, the Irish are leading 13-10 at halftime, but it sure doesn't feel like their winning. Gotta get the juices flowing! Mike Golic Sr. is doing a fine job of color commentary on the radio! I always listen to Irish radio and mute the TV. 1 Quote

Irishman Posted Monday at 02:59 AM Posted Monday at 02:59 AM O line took over the game in the 2nd half. Defense needs to clean things up. Too many wide open receivers and wide open run lanes. Credit to Wisconsin though. They played well. Probably not the best idea or combination for a Shamrock series game though lol. 1 Quote
PHJIrish Posted Monday at 03:11 AM Posted Monday at 03:11 AM 41-13 Irish win! The coaches must have gotten in their ears at halftime! The 2nd half was what most Irish fans had envisioned! Both sides of the ball stepped up! It's good to be 1-0! Quote

Yeah, I felt like Wisconsin looked better than they did last year. Definately better equipped offensively. Liked seeing the Zionsville kid getting some catches. Does feel odd to say that though with how badly Notre Dame beat them. 1 Quote
Bobref Posted Monday at 01:30 PM Posted Monday at 01:30 PM A 4 TD win over a B1G team on the road in the opener. I’ll take it. They say a team improves the most between weeks 1 & 2. We’ll see. Concerned about the injury to Tae Tae. 2 Quote
PHJIrish Posted Monday at 10:50 PM Posted Monday at 10:50 PM I'm hoping that the missed day of preparation, and of course being a little overconfident, could be a problem. I believe with the recent history that the coaching staff will have 'em ready for Rice! The Badgers played their hearts out, and I think they wore down a bit. The Irish coaching staff, and the players that responded, are to be commended for the adjustments at halftime. I was a complete reversal, especially in the OL. In looking at the Wisconsin schedule, they should not lose too many BIG games if they play as hard as they did last night. I would think they'll be bowl eligible at least. Quote
Muda69 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago What I was reminded of from seeing the uniforms both ND and Wisconsin were wearing: Quote

At Notre Dame, by tradition, the names only go on in the post season. Quote
