Does Jaylon Smith have a teaching role at North Side? I thought to be a head coach, you had to be a teacher at FWCS.

We have had that discussion before about fwcs coaching requirements. I don't believe he is listed as a current employee of fwcs.

The New Castle rule applies.   Don't need to be a teacher/administrator/connected to the building to be an HC . DAMON BAILEY

Ben Johnson has been fired at North Side along with Principal of the school. Jaylon Smith has been named interim head coach. News via outside huddle.com

The sudden surge of D1 talent at North Side seems a little fishy. Not gonna speculate though.

Figured he wanted to be a head coach n thats what deterred him from Luers..yet also strange that he visited chambers instead of Luers field when he came to town

I thought he ended up at North Side because he and Ben Johnson are cousins.

Ah. Makes more sense then..thought he attended their games when Brevard(sp) was still their coach.  Maybe @jakone would know if he ever attended games. Spencer would be around for sure..

Lol tbh..Jaylon has quite a large family..we are cousins down the line as well..should have came to some Snider games.!! I can dm you the details on that..I'm just now able to see emails due to a site key error..blah.. Will be interesting to see how it plays out at North moving forward..n id still like to see Spencer come back for a camp or two
