Sparty is falling.  IU, Rutgers and Maryland will be in a dogfight to displace MSU for the #4 spot in the division.

Hoosiers have a slight lead at the moment, but tenuous at best.

Yes.  Sparty is falling in a huge way.  Will be interesting if Tucker can (and is given time) to right the ship.

Rutgers...the same team that went 2-10 and 0-9 in the big ten last year?

Yes

Rutgers

RU made the most impactful coaching move in all of college football y bringing back Greg Schiano.   He is making an early impact and will elevate the program long term.  Indiana and Maryland are low hanging fruit.  MSU not far away either.

The track record is abysmal for P5 Black Head Coaches.  Th have been largely unsuccessful.  What has Tucker shown previously that gives an indication that he will buck the trend?

Never thought of it that way.  No indication Tucker will buck the trend.

Herm seems to be doing ok at ASU, David Shaw at Stanford...can’t think of any more examples off the top of my head.

Well the only guy on your list that tasted any success is Willingham.

And although not D-I, there was a guy named Eddie Robinson at Grambling State University in Louisiana that was pretty good.  This talk against black head coaches is sickening.

Has anybody mentioned James Franklin at Penn State?  What about Tony Dungy?  Herm Edwards?  Mike Tomlin?

Lovie Smith at Illinois is going just fine.  It maybe took him a few years to right the ship, but didn’t they go bowling last season?

When he masters recruiting the Chicago area, look out...

I'm thinking Carson will be just fine, may get some more offers as season goes. That is if there is a season.

Read where Eddie Robinson turned out over 200 of his players to the pros, including the NFL (including the old AFL before the merger) and the CFL.

Thanks!
