It should be.  Look at the data.  More testing = more cases.  More people in the under 50 age range being infected and recovering with no complications.  Death rate down 10 consecutive weeks.

Protect the elderly/vulnerable, be smart, spread it out.

Pretty simple honestly.

Isn’t that another worthy objective?

We know. The real objective is to destroy the economy for political gain. We also know you are in full support of the lockdowns.

Fifteen days to flatten the curve was always a hoax.

Pretty sure there’s medication you can take to address that paranoia.

Yes, and it could have been achieved without a lockdown.  Granted we were not as aware how vulnerable those folks were when this all started but now that we do?  Let’s move on with life.

All the lockdown did was delay the inevitable.  Folks are going to text positive, folks are going to get sick.  Work places need to put in procedures to protect vulnerable employees and we need to padlock all nursing homes.  End of story.

I’m not sold on the masks as much as many on here but am also not @DannEllenwood.  I’ll toe the company line.

Funny how that works and how it relates to the other issue diving our country right now huh?  Follow the law (even if you don’t agree with it completely) and you won’t have any issues...

FBI Hires Top-Rated Italian Bodyguard Hiluigi Clintonelli To Protect Ghislaine Maxwell
July 2nd, 2020

BRADFORD, NH—Following the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell for sex abuse charges, the FBI is taking no chances in keeping her safe while she awaits trial. Sparing no expense, the FBI has hired top-notch Italian bodyguard Hiluigi Clintonelli.

“It's-a me, Clintonelli!” said the world-renowned bodyguard arriving at the prison.

Thanks to the particularly glowing reviews from high-profile individuals such as President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, all federal prison security checks were waived for Hiluigi. “There’s simply no one else that we trust to execute this job as she can.”

“Mamma mia, this simply will not do!” exclaimed Hiluigi Clintonelli as she forcefully cleared the room. She warned that anyone other than her could be a threat to Ghislaine’s life.

Clintonelli also connected all camera feeds to her personal server to ensure that all recorded video was properly secured.

Interesting studies from Germany and Sweden. German and Swedish Scientists disagree with Dr. Fauci.

Dr. Fauci claimed he lied about mask safety to conserve supply for medical personnel. Hospitals, clinics and laboratories order supplies from certified medical supply distributors. The general public has no access to medical supplies from certified medical supply distributors.

Are you sure?  You are aware that China has experienced multiple flare ups of the virus in various regions, correct?  (including one in June) And that is what we know....their gov't doesn't allow their media to function like ours.

Coronavirus-fearing man wearing a GAS MASK removed from American Airlines flight after he refused to take it off – The Sun

A MAN was booted off an American Airlines jet for wearing a gas mask to allegedly protect him from the deadly coronavirus.

Attendants swooped and asked him to remove the ventilator as fellow passengers began to panic aboard the Dallas to Houston flight.

Americans will never see this graph in the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today or any of the mainstream media broadcasts. Most Americans do not trust Dr. Fauci, the CDC, FDA or any of the media outlets.

Our plant employed a mandatory mask policy six weeks ago. The Indianapolis mayor implemented a mandatory public mask policy this week. If second shift is equal to first shift we will have approximately 900 employees who refuse to wear a mask today.

not arguing about the graph or the number of declining deaths but it is a little decieving as many of the high risk people are no longer here, meaning less high risk people to get it. The problem for me is I myself am not ready to be one of them and I'm sure there are lots of others that feel the same but don't see a lot of help from the younger crowd.

While at my sister’s place on July 04, I asked my siblings the following question. What percentage of coronavirus deaths reported is actually real? The consensus answer was 50% or less. The professions of my siblings include, microbiologist, clinical psychologist, former high school principal & high school science teacher, elementary school teacher and insurance broker.

Is The Pandemic Coming To An End At Last?

daily-covid-cases-deaths.png?fit=740%2C5

I&I Editorial

The media and many politicians inside the Democratic Party continue to shriek over the recent jump in the number of recorded coronavirus cases, seeking to keep the economy closed at all costs — and we mean that literally. Don’t fall for the argument. The data show that, in fact, our pandemic nightmare might well be coming to an end.

OK, you say, Issues & Insights, how can you say such a thing with so little to back it up?

Well, firstly, it’s not actually us saying this. It’s the Centers for Disease Control, which reported that the death rate has fallen so far it’s now roughly equal to the threshold for even qualifying as an epidemic, which isn’t as severe as a pandemic.

“Based on death certificate data, the percentage of (total U.S.) deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) decreased from 9% during week 25 to 5.9% during week 26,” the CDC noted, adding that this was the 10th-straight week of declining deaths.

While the “percentage is currently at the epidemic threshold,” additional data in coming weeks could change that, says the CDC.

As a piece on the informative Just The News web site explains, “That threshold for (deaths per week for) pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 fluctuates slightly depending on the time of year, ranging from around 7% at the height of flu season to around 5% during less virulent months.”

So the decline to 5.9% is truly great news, if the trend holds. We’ve reported this decline in COVID-19’s raw death rate before, by the way. The current CDC data compare favorably to the 5.7% average rate for the final 13 weeks of 2019.

And yet, here are some of the headlines we’ve read in just the past couple days in the Big Media:

As Trump gaslights America about coronavirus, Republicans face a critical choice ” — CNN

Despite Rising Coronavirus Cases, Trump’s Focus Appears To Be Elsewhere” — NPR

The Economy Is Not Going Back to Normal” — Slate

Coronavirus: FDA chief refuses to back Trump’s vaccine prediction” — BBC

U.S. is still ‘knee-deep’ in the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, Fauci says” — CNN

How America Lost the War on Covid-19” — New York Times

You get the idea? Not a hint of optimism, just relentless pessimism about COVID-19, politicized to the Nth degree to make Donald Trump look like a fool or sociopath.

And this is just a handful of examples which underscore that the media, with few exceptions steeped in hatred of all things Trump, have never been more negligent in performing their basic duty to inform their readers about COVID-19. And they’ve never been more politicized or biased.

We hope Americans remember this as the Trump-hating press continues its suicidal shift toward the far left of the political spectrum. To any serious consumer of fact-based news, our Big Media sadly have lost all credibility.

As far as coronavirus is concerned, it’s true that total cases continue to rise. But that’s a function of vastly increased testing, not of surging actual cases, as we’ve noted before.

It’s likely that the only real increase in cases in recent weeks has come from the largely unprotected masses of youngish people taking part in the George Floyd demonstrations, which began in late May and continued through June and into July.

This can be seen in the fact that new cases lean more heavily now toward the young, rather than the old, a strong sign that the youth-dominated demonstrations boosted infections. Not surprisingly, the media now blame Trump for this.

While we’re at it, we’d like to remind you that these are the same “peaceful demonstrators” who have trashed cities across the country for weeks. Just last weekend two people were killed at protests, which “progressive” Democrats supported and defended. Particularly tragic was the death of Secoreia Turner, an 8-year-old African American girl shot by anti-police demonstrators in Atlanta.

Yet, even while encouraging riots and violent demonstrations, irresponsible Democratic politicians have ordered average Americans to remain locked down in their homes and forced many businesses to stay closed, doing massive damage to the U.S. economy.

Why do this? COVID-19 is another tool for the left to gain social, economic and political control.

“It was never about the virus but instead the election,” Brian C. Joondeph, a medical doctor practicing in Denver, recently wrote at the American Thinker. “The so-called surge in cases is more fake news pushed by media cheerleaders eager to destroy the U.S. economy and culture if it makes Trump a one-term president.”

As we noted, the really major development is the continued decline in deaths. The virus’ spread is still “an epidemic to be sure, but an entirely manageable one,” as the PowerLine blog described it this week. We agree.

In the next few weeks, we’ll see whether the outbreak is truly finished. In the meantime, the political fear stampede over “soaring new coronarvirus cases” has to end. And when it does, we hope Americans call the left to account for its attempt to use a pandemic to destroy our republic.

So according to the CDC, this is no longer a "Pandemic" and according to the CDC barely qualifies as an epidemic........But while we can encourage civil unrest, justify protests and gatherings without impunity, citizens can't go to a bar, or hang out at the beach, that's simply spreading the virus.......

Umm.... no. Dr. Fauci is the Director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, one of the institutes operating under the umbrella of the National Institutes of Health. He is easily one of the most accomplished scientists in the history of his field, having contributed groundbreaking research for over 30 years. You and the other folks who constantly paint him as a buffoon because, as a spokesperson for an entire research discipline, there are times when new research findings conflict with others, are only displaying your own ignorance about the scientific process in general, and the massive effort ongoing with respect to SARS-CoV-2 in particular. Or, perhaps, you are letting your political desires get the better of logical judgment.

One of the frequent battle cries of the folks who apparently believe that the coronavirus emergency was a liberal plot to wreck the economy for political reasons is the “fact” that all of the protesters and rioters gathering unmasked did not cause a spike in COVID-19 cases. Turns out it’s not so much a “fact” as it is one of those politically-driven assertions that, if repeated enough, becomes unquestioned.

LA Mayor Garcetti admits 'connection' between coronavirus outbreak and protests, after downplaying link

"We are certain that there is going to be spread"

By Nick Givas | Fox News

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Wednesday that public protests are likely causing the number of citywide coronavirus cases to spike, just two days after claiming there wasn't "any conclusive evidence" showing a connection between the two.

Garcetti, a Democrat, was speaking at a press conference concerning the recent Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles when he was asked if the demonstrations were contributing to the spread of COVID-19.

He claimed he'd consulted with Dr. Barbara Ferrer, LA County's director of public health, and determined the protests were in fact contributing to the spread of the virus.

“I talked again with Dr. Ferrer about that this morning. She does think some of the spread did come from our protests," he said. "It’s not the act of protesting – that’s a great and American thing to do no matter what your opinion is… but protesting without maintaining physical distancing, without wearing your mask, without having sanitizer – we just have to be smart. Whether you’re at a protest or at your home, whether in your workplace or whether you’re out shopping, these rules don’t change.”

He added, “We do believe there is a connection, we don’t believe that everybody has been doing this safely and wherever you can, please stay at home.”

Fox News reached out to the County Health Department for comment and received a video of a Wednesday interview with Dr. Ferrer, where she affirmed the statement.

"In situations where people are close together for longer periods of time and it’s very crowded, we are certain that there is going to be spread. So, we’ve never said that there’s no spread from people who were protesting," she explained.

After being asked earlier in the video if government officials were downplaying the protests' effect on coronavirus stats, she said, "We’ve been really honest and said from the beginning that for any people that are in crowded situations for long periods of time – which long for us means more than 15 minutes – where you’re in close contact with people, less than six feet apart and people aren’t wearing a cloth face covering you have a heightened risk of either transmitting the virus if you are an asymptomatic spreader, or getting the virus from someone else who is spreading because they also are an asymptomatic spreader."

This clashed with statements made by Garcetti during the Tuesday press conference, however, where he called the idea a hypothesis and minimized the potential impact mass public demonstrations were having on the number of COVID-19 cases in the city.

"We follow the data closely," he said, according to Fox 11. "There's no evidence yet that the protests led to much spread though it's something that Doctor Ferrer has hypothesized, but we haven't seen any conclusive evidence there."

Dr. Ron Paul was stating Dr. Fauci was a fraud early in the coronavirus outbreak. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doesn't have a civil word to say about Dr. Fauci. There have been books written about Dr. Fauci. I view him as a political activist and spokesman for the vaccine industry. He told Americans to not worry about the coronavirus from January until late February. All hell broke loose in the middle of March. He told Americans not to wear masks. He later changed his tune and said the reason was because the general public would purchase masks necessary for medical personnel. Hospitals order supplies from certified medical supply distributors. The general public purchases medical supplies online or from companies like Wal Mart or Costco.

Dr. fauci appears to be hell bent on the maximum lockdown possible and a vaccine.
