TigerFan20
Week 7 Power rankings! 1. Reitz- Looks Reitz has finally figured out some offensive 2H problems right on time before the huge Memorial game on Friday 2. Memorial- Still figuring the offense after losing QB1 and RB1, but the Tigers are fighting through it. Big challenge against Reitz coming up 3. VL- Losing QB1 for a few weeks is definitely a big hit for a rising Alices team, but the running game looks strong. Big test coming up against North 4. Jasper- After a 1-2 start, the Wildcats are becoming a solid team at the right time. Can the Cats get their 4th straight win against Castle? 5. North- Close to Jasper, North seems like a team that is shaping up and could get to their best regular season in a long time. Has a very big home against the Alices. 6. Castle- After starting 3-1 to the season, the Knights have fallen to 3-3 after losing to Reitz. Still wouldn’t count them out for a late regular season run, but they definitely need to work on the defense. 7. Bosse- The best 1-5 team right now as Bosse can score pretty quick with their players. Saw a lot of improvement and almost won against Memorial, but lots to do for the Dawgs, great opportunity for a bounce back against MD. 8. Mater Dei- Tough season for Cats after winning the state championship last season. A couple of games could have gone their way to the Cats, can they turn it around? Big game against Bosse in Enlow. 9. Harrison- Can the Warriors get their first win this Friday? Battle for the first win against Central 10. Central- Just like Harrison, big game against them this weekend

TigerFan20
What we learned after Week7! - Reitz dominated the Tigers in the Battle of Unbeatens and is on pace to win their 2nd straight SIAC Title. The Panthers are one of the most well rounded teams in Southern Indiana and will make a noise in the playoffs. The Tigers had trouble scoring against Panthers Defense all night, even when they had very good field position. However, outside of a couple of plays, Memorial Defense did play well throughout the game. But missing QB1 would eventually catch up to the Tigers. - North completely manhandled the Alices too, as North did what they want down the field throughout the game. As the Alices couldn’t do anything to stop or score on them. I believe North ended up have around 300 rushing yards and went up 24-zip at HT. North’s D held the Alices Offense to around 80 total yards in the game. North may very well have the best OL/DL in the conference this season and maybe 2024 (some are juniors).I know Hunt is out for the Alices, but I did think this would have been a competitive game. - This game was an excellent matchup as Castle escapes Jasper by 2 yards. It sound liked the starting QB for Castle went out after the 1Q and brought in a sophomore QB. However, he led the Knights to a 39-32 victory over the Cats as Jasper was seconds away from tying the game, but fumbled the ball with 40 seconds left. It looked Jasper went up pretty high in the 2H, but it seems like Jasper gave up a couple of safeties and turnovers to Castle. I haven’t looked at the stats, but I heard Castle had a pretty good rushing game last Friday. - Congratulations to Bosse, as they beat MD for the first time in 30 years on Homecoming. Bosse went down 13-0 early and scoring 22 straight points in the 2Q, which proved enough, as the Dawgs would win it 36-20. While MD has struggled, it looked like they had some offensive success initially but dwindled, but I do know it was 28-20 game throughout the 4Q until Bosse sealed the deal with a late TD. - I didn’t follow this game closely, but from the sounds of it, it was a back and forth game between Harrison/Central. Unlike last years blowout win for Harrison, the Warriors got their first win on the season beating the Bears, 28-21 at the Bear Den. Central remains winless for the time being and might have another 0-10 season.

Statistically on pace for a better season than Hunt had last year when he won it. However, I could understand other arguments last year (Wunderlich) and this year (Vera Jr.) due to their (Hunt/Wagner) team records and just the sheer volume they get. Personally, I'd have no problem with Wagner winning it this year. Very impressive athlete and stats.
TigerFan20
Power Rankings! This was a pretty tough one after Reitz. 1. Reitz- Clearly the best team in the SIAC and one most well rounded teams in the area on defense and offense. Just 2 games away from winning B2B undefeated SIAC titles for this Panther crew. 2. Memorial- While the Tigers did get dominated by Reitz last week, they are still figuring the offense and ran into a juggernaut against the better team. 2 big games coming up for the Tigers. 3. North- 2 straight week, 2 straight shutouts that does not get unnoticed. As North appears to have their best regular season in a long time. Big one with Jasper this week. 4. Castle- I don’t what they do in Paradise, but they score points in crucial moments, which was seen last week against Jasper. Some injury questions to arise from the Knights. 4. VL- Took a shot in the mouth against the biggest in the SIAC and was dominated in the trenches and missing Hunt did hurt. However, big game against the Tigers this weekend. 6. Jasper- Still think Jasper maybe a little underrated, however, blowing 2 score lead and giving up 2 safeties does not bode well. However, the Cats will have a chance at a quality win when the Huskies roll into town. 7. Bosse- One of the most electrifying teams in the SIAC, whose record can be a little misleading. But the Dawgs can maybe grab another 2 wins this season. Reitz-Bosse game this week is going to be fun! 8. Mater Dei- Not the season the Wildcats wanted, but it seemed like MD had some early success last week against Bosse. But ended their 30 year winning streak against Bosse, losing to them. Tough 2 weeks coming up for the Cats. 9. Harrison- Finally earns a hard fight victory against the Bears and has a chance to beat Mater Dei this week at home. 10. Central- Just a score away from winning their first game, but fell short against the Warriors. Unfortunately the Bears appear to be headed to another winless regular season.
