IHSAAtv begins digitally restoring State Final games!

IHSAAtv, the Champions Network of the IHSAA, has begun identifying and remastering historically significant State Final games from the past.   When completed, those games will be found initially on our Facebook page and later archived on IHSAAtv.org.  Follow us at https://www.facebook.com/ihsaatv.   Currently we have restored only basketball, but future plans include many football games and a few other select sporting contests.  Which games would you like restored?

I appreciate the work you do on these. It's great as someone who likes to go back and verify facts and things. There's nothing like source material.

How about the first 2 or 3 years? 

50 years ago... 1973... first state championship... South Bend Washington 19, Indianapolis Cathedral 13.

1974 Indianapolis Washington 19, Mishawaka 12.

1975 Valparaiso 14, Carmel 13.

Those were some real classics!

I vote for the 1987 4A State Title game between Hobart and Jasper. I’d like to see Don Howell on the sidelines and very likely the most dominating defensive performance in a state Championship.
