5A South is a melting pot right now, and multiple schools have a punchers chance. Plainfield, Harrison, and the Bloomington schools seem the most likely at the moment.

What's the take on Decatur Central?

Mind still blown Harrison is in the “south.”

How'd that happen? Lack of teams up North?

I personally believe that they are behind Plainfield and Harrison right now. They should play Plainfield close and even possibly win on Friday but if Plainfield wins convincingly then Decatur needs to rethink their strategy.

Reminds me of the mid-90's when North Posey played at North Montgomery or 2018 when Marion played at Evansville Central for the "South" semi-states.

Looks like the IHSAA did a NW/SE cut for the North/South in the last classification.  I suspect they started from the south and realized that, since Zionsville had moved to 6A finally, when they got to Plainfield and Decatur Central, they needed another two teams to make four in that sectional.  Anderson ended up odd-man-out and got put in with the three Fort Wayne guys and TSC schools, Harrison and McCutcheon, were the other two schools closest to Indy.

Is there a link to the maps for each classification?

Here you go: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1O6J1oaoKWSgPWgPhsL7-eng1-_vqyqEr&usp=sharing

Just click on the class(es) on the left and it will mark the location of the schools on the map as well as the names of the schools.  You'll also notice, when you observe the map, schools that are in the same sectional are coded with the same color.

This was accurate as of 2022, but I don't know if it has been updated to include some of the newer schools in 1A ... in part because some aren't yet eligible for post-season.
