Coach Nowlin Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 All Great People for sure Though Johnny and I would laugh when Kiger, was hurt, IGOE was QB against Sheridan and we joked his 7 INT he threw that game to the Safety at Sheridan made him All State. haha for the record, Sweigart from Sheridan was already a All State caliber player. He let it rip though, it was fun, just tough to do against such a quality team that night. Quote
PHJIrish Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Wisconsin 21, Purdue 6 at halftime. Nothing much different from weeks past for the Boilers. Quote
PHJIrish Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Well, the OC wasn't the only problem for the Boilers. It's a shame to watch how far they've fallen, and I'm not really a Boiler fan. Coach Walters has to held accountable for this abysmal season. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 sad, my football boilers have made me football sad...... Brohm Corp was entertaining and competitive...... This.....well.....this has been a colossal failure so far Quote

This.....well.....this has been a colossal failure so far I didn't even bother watching. I didn't think it could ever get worse than the Hazel years, yet here we are. And for what? Because Walters took a job as DC at Illinois, was given some NFL talent, and his defense looked good against crappy Big Ten West offenses. Purdue hired a defensive minded coach and his defenses are absolutely abysmal. Good stuff. Switching topics, I watched a little of the A&M / Missouri game. Nic Scourton is an absolute monster. I can see why he's projected as a 1st rounder. I was originally pissed that he bailed on Purdue and went back to Texas considering, per 247, SMU was the best instate offer he received in HS. But, it's impossible to blame the kid for turning down A&M NIL money to stay and play for a likely winless team in B1G play. Quote

PHJIrish Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 I only watch to see how many targets and catches Jaron Tibbs gets. I feel bad for him! Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Link is worth the click to see the screenshot by screenshot......... "Defensive Minded Coach". um Yea.... about that defensive minded coach...... Quote
Boilernation Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I hope Purdue follows the path they took with this guy and IU took with Cig. Find an adult who has proven he can create a culture and is good at scheming. 1 Quote

Tiller came to Indy for an IFCA meeting with his staff. It does not take long to figure out that some coaches have it. Had the same experience with Bill Mallory. 1 Quote

Which begs the question is Brock Spack ready for the Power 5 or has he not accomplished enough at Illinois State? 1 Quote

HUGE fan of Brock’s. He is a great clinician too by the way. Part of me thinks some guys are just happy where they are, and he may be one of them. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Love Coach Spack, but that ship sailed when Burke went with Danny Hope and not Spack..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brock_Spack It's not like he has been on a serious roll at Ill St. either. Bobinski has zero ties to Tiller era And again, bringing in a Defensive HC is not the answer Quote
Bash Riprock Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Just read where Purdue has lost 4 2025 commits in the last week. Coach, how big of a deal is this??? Purdue football's 2025 recruiting class loses another commitment, continuing slide (msn.com) Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 real big deal By all things measured, this is only gonna get uglier...... smh Quote

Bash Riprock Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Dang!! Incredible game and ending…. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 competitive Walters calling the O and D, was interesting, but seemed to ignite O Talent evaluations of the current staff is nowhere NEAR previous.......which is what you saw in the QB change albeit injury, but still. Brohm LOVED Browne coming out of HS, just saying Quote
