It would be interesting to know how much of those defensive stats for Memorial (or any school, really) came against the starters.

I calculated recently that Memorial’s starters have only had 34 points scored against them in their 8 games.  All of the rest have come against reserves.

It’s probably around total 140 YPG if I had to guess. If I had the time, I would have calculations, but I have no idea where to begin to figure that out. For example, Bosse had like 15 yards of rushing before the starters came out. I believe the ended up having 190 rushing yards once the back ups were in, causing the stats to inflate a bit. However, I do think showing the stats help to figure out where teams stand or not. I think I’ve gotten better at it over the years, but it sucks when teams are inconsistent posting stats (had tons of problems last postseason) and throwing off the calculations.

Looks like several P4 schools are trying to flip him.

If there are any Castle fans on here, you guys are the trashiest fanbase I've seen in 30 years of watching sports. Just an utter embarrassment. Your radio guys are even worse. Go Huskies.

I don’t think most people would agree with you.  I will say this.   As a quiet observer at the game I was amazed at some of the cheap shots the FC players were giving.   I was surprised only one FC player got ejected.   But then I observed many of the FC parents in the stands yelling the F word towards the Castle side and asking them to come fight (both sides sit in the home bleachers there) and I realized why some of the players were that way.  Quite embarrassing really.
why are there not bleachers on the visitor side?

it was chippy, but when your team has 3-4 15 yd face mask penalties, 3-4 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and a player ejected it takes courage to call anything associated with the other team trashy and embarrassing.

I came to this game to see who the Huskies would be facing next. I will say that I cannot stand the Knights. Looking at this objectively, it seems that Floyd is the real problem here. Very nice school and stadium and yet don't have bleachers for the other team? Not to mention, Floyd parents were very disrespectful to me for wearing North Huskies gear. As much as I wanted Castle to lose and they did have their own unsportsmanlike penalties, it seems that Floyd was playing very dirty with over 100 yards of penalties and an ejection. Seems that the real trashy fanbase is FC. LOL #gohuskies.

I watched it Saturday morning. Castle was a little too demonstrative for my liking and did have a couple of penalties of their own, but nothing like Floyd Central. Like when the FC kid not only ripped McCool's helmet off while he was on the ground, but also threw it 10 yds. downfield. I thought FC could have used some settling down at that point. I also noticed at one point an FC player lost his helmet and was instructed to leave the field, but the FC coach motioned for him the stay on the field and the ref didn't catch it.

Jasper HC Tony Lewis has retired from coaching.

Not all that surprising really. There was some chatter during the season. Jasper is a great job - resources, players, facilities, etc. The right person could turn this program into a tournament powerhouse.

Wonder who they have in mind, since Lewis is still going go be S&C Coach/Teacher.

Eh. That's always the company line.

I'm pretty sure Oxley (Harrison), Schnur (Bosse), and Coultis (Central) all stepped down/ resigned from their coaching positions but were going to stay as a teacher.  Then all 3 ended up at a different school in a coaching capacity by the next fall.

I would think this is a little different.   Those other three got fired more or less.

Fair enough.  And I hope my post didn't come across as negative.

Coach Lewis did a great job at Jasper.  20 games over .500 is quite a record for a 5 year span.  I wish him the best of luck in whatever path he takes next.

Yep, can't imagine any new coach not wanting full control of the S&C program. Although it applies to all students and teams, the primary beneficiary and the largest group is the football team.

Wonder if this would be a job that would pull Nick Hart away from GS. I know his sister it the girls basketball coach there. Doubt though he would leave a place like GS. Thoughts
