  1. Past hour
  2. No East was HHC champs yet again in wrestling. It’s been our best sport the last few years.
  3. Are you sure about that? Outside of contradicting yourself, it sounds like you only care about 4 teams. Everyone else is irrelevant or a chump.
  4. Today
  5. They won it Wrestling. I guess it was omitted accidentally. They actually won the State Championship in Wrestling. It's not IHSAA sanctioned. It's something else. Had 3 Wrestlers finish runner up in the State Championship. Boys Basketball was extremely good for about 8 years. But they're in a lull right now. It may be a while before they're relevant again. New Albany and Jeffersonville are loaded in basketball but that's the only sport they care about. Girls Basketball is getting better. They just hired a coach that took Salem to the State Championship game.
  6. Beckwith poses a ‘serious threat’ to Braun’s campaign, says GOP powerhouse lawyer: https://indianacapitalchronicle.com/2024/06/17/beckwith-poses-a-serious-threat-to-brauns-campaign-says-gop-powerhouse-lawyer-jim-bopp/?emci=89bb8f6a-d52c-ef11-86d2-6045bdd9e096&emdi=8937d408-672d-ef11-86d2-6045bdd9e096&ceid=577105
  7. Hart, who is probably the most polarizing coach in all of Indiana high school basketball, has been given another chance to prove himself by Cloverdale, who has been struggling for years after the graduations of Cooper Neese (2017) and Jalen Moore (2018). As you may or may not know, Hart was extremely successful at Linton-Stockton before getting into legal trouble. His two DUIs in 2023 led to his termination at Linton. Hart inherits a team that lost 5 seniors and placed dead last in the Western Indiana Conference, not winning a single conference game. The team finished 2-22 with wins coming against Riverton Parke and Eminence. The next two teams at the bottom of the conference, South Putnam and Brown County, are set to improve as well. 2nd-year coach Josh Estridge's South Putnam team lost only one senior while Brown County went from 0 wins to 8 wins, so I can see an upwards trajectory there as well. It will be tough sledding for Hart in year one, but his team should be competitive with the bottom half of the WIC, especially with his two freshman twin sons coming in for the Clovers next year. Any thoughts on Joey Hart going to the Clovers?
  8. So what did they not win a conference title in? Wrestling, boys basketball, girls basketball, gymnastics…Is there anything else?
  9. Bishop Noll in Hammond is presently installing field turf
  10. Well, if you can't win a state title with enrollments like 5200, 4567, & 3748, then you have a serious problem.

  12. It's funny I've been on this forum since many of you were in diapers. Haven't posted in years. Just been a long time fan and observer. Outside of Warren, BD, CG and Carmel can any of you prove that the word irrelevant isn't true for the pretenders? Not one of you can. Those 4 schools own 6A and Penn being the only big school in the conversation and they have been irrelevant for way too long. Since the pathetic IHSAA won't seed the big schools. we will continue to get the results we have gotten. Indy champ and some northern chump as runner up. It's never going to change. I compare it to the Carmel girls swimming dominance. Not one team outside of the Indy metro area will ever win a 6A title. Prove me wrong. Original forum poster.
  13. No matter how you feel about us, you have to admit that this is pretty impressive. That strength coach is legit. I saw some of the Squat and Bench #s for the Football team lately.
  14. As long as they have a competent administration and promote from within, yes. I’d assume some “on the job training” has been taking place for some time now…
  15. Even after Saint Moore steps down from coaching?
  16. To my dismay, we are no longer a "wishbone team". Still heavy on the run, but seldom run the wishbone. When we need a yard....guess what we run...
  17. My interpretation is that he's saying anyone not named Carmel, Ben Davis, Warren Central, or Center Grove is irrelevant. Las Vegas oddsmakers would agree. However, using the word "irrelevant" is irresponsible. There are probably 10 other relevant teams capable of beating those four if they don't put their absolute best forward.
  18. Of course, Gonzoron, I'm not talking about the skilled labor parts, just the standing there all day listening to music putting things into boxes or swiping my fingers across sensors after I pull a part out, place it on a belt, and put another part in. It really depends on the school and what is going on there. My school now has a good mix.
  19. He played WR as a Junior and when Keim went down took over that year and started QB as a senior.
  20. The family is full of great athletes and fantastic coaching. I don't think you'll get both but if the Kingsman did it would be a huge boost in the offense!
  21. Using Lake County as an example, in 2023 the salary range for Deputy Prosecutors (the guys who actually try the cases) was from $87K - $137K. Assuming the top end guys are the ones trying the big felony cases, a top flight criminal defense lawyer in a decent sized urban area would make several times that. Of course, there are also advantages to being a prosecutor: you don’t have overhead, there are no worries as to whether you’ll get paid, and for the most part, you have a better client to work for.
  22. Another great athlete from a family of them. I think he's been coaching receivers at Brownsburg. Going 2 for 2 here would be about the biggest win Penn has had in six years.
  23. The lineman dominance of a wishbone team vs the passing skills of a spread team. Tale as old as time! Should make for two great matchups this year.
  24. Like you said: criminal felony prosecution and defense. Either or.
