  2. Glad to help. And I wish we could all be perfect typists like you.

  4. First off my dumb mobile using self just realized I could scroll right and see more. Haha. So here are my thoughts and scenarios regarding MSC/PLAC 1) Will Perry Central ever go to the Pocket? Seems like closer for them and would be fine in small school side. I feel like if they did PLAC could maybe add some of the Southwest schools. Eastern Greene, North Daviess, North Knox all currently play PLAC. If they allowed Crawford to go independent (like they tried a few years prior) the drives wouldn't be much different they are already making. 2) Do Silver Creek and/or Charlestown ever outgrow the MSC? Charlestown recently moved to 4A while Salem and Brownstown recently dropped from 3 to 2. Feels like that conference at times is getting really spread out. 3) Could Clarksville join PLAC? They play WW, Perry, and Crawford. Not sure they really add much but being a former MSC team they fit in nicely. All of this is just strictly football talk. Our conferences haven't changed in like 30 years outside teams adding football. Just all in fun.
  5. As i watched some baseball games over the weekend: Cubs: Young Bears, Foxes, or Lions Brewers: Beer Producers Mariners: People of the Seas Diamondbacks: Venomous Vipers Athletics: People Who Play Sports
  6. https://reason.com/2024/05/10/nearly-half-of-all-masters-degrees-arent-worth-getting/ A lot of useless degrees out there. Yet people keep going into debt to earn them. Insane.
  7. I believe in their history, North Knox has been in and out of several conferences. I would guess that conferences would be a little gun-shy given their history.

  9. I remember saying this same thing 4 years ago, only it was Tim Tebow and Johnny Manzel. NIL is a beautiful thought but it's been horribly executed. I'm all for kids at any level making money if they can off of their name, image, likeness. But "pay-for-play" is what we got. I think it would turn off a lot of general fans as it will be the same schools every year winning. 14-18 year old kids making business decision is scary; I hope they have the right community around them (parents, coaches, family, friends, etc.) or it could get ugly pretty quickly.
  10. Move Frankfort from the Monon (yuck, stupid name) to the Hoosier Heartland and you have a good list.
  11. You obviously haven't heard of the term "Too Bid To Fail", an excuse governments have used to bail out/subsidize everything from financial institutions to car companies. Wouldn't education fall into that same bailiwick?
  12. Governments already provide tax breaks to companies that provide non-Obamacare health insurance benefits to their employees. I believe it is called the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit.
  13. Thanks for letting us know that you have absolutely no idea how public school systems are funded.
  14. So those people whose kids attend private schools should not have to pay school taxes to the district where they live? What about if one doesn’t have kids at all? Should they pay school taxes? Saying they should “lose their rights” kind of sounds like taxation without representation. Pretty sure that “right” was already fought over during a large tea party some years ago. You are wearing roller skates on a slippery slope here. What is the next step? Let those low income areas rot. To hell with the poors, the old, the infirm? Look out Porter Co with your paltry .005 county income tax rate. You guys might want to look into grouping up with the other low tax county to start your own league before “they” start coming after you for not pulling your weight.
  15. Eric Washington excited about former Center Grove star Austin Booker draft selection. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/eric-washington-failed-to-hide-his-excitement-getting-austin-booker/ Another good article in Yahoo Sports May 11 “Eric Washington reveals what he likes most about Austin Booker”
  16. I'm confused. Is it November already? I thought it was May with practices still a month away. But this sounds like November belly-aching. I guess there really is no offseason anymore.
  17. It was a joke aimed at no one except myself. Yea, I’m quite familiar with the Kiels, I played against them.
  18. Haha. I just noticed the pink finger nail polish. Nice touch. The high heal might be a little above the allowed length for cleats.

  20. Come on man....if a private institution can't stand on its own feet then the government should subsidize it? No one is keeping those attending a private institution from doing just that. These institutions should receive ZERO tax dollars! There is no right to it....that is just laughable. If you can afford to send your kid to one so be it, that's great....live with your choice and your unfair advantage in athletics. Don't look to the government for help. It's funny many of you guys identify as conservative, how hypocritical.
  21. With all due respect, that’s absurd. So…somebody who buys (private) Medigap supplemental insurance loses their entitlement to regular Medicare benefits? Somebody with a large 401k loses their entitlement to Social Security benefits? A couple Canadian provinces actually tried to do something similar to this - prohibit privately contracted healthcare services…which effectively allow people with the means to not only skip the queue, but lengthen it for those without the means. Their courts threw the laws out. If somebody loses the access to a right because of sacrifices they’ve made to enhance their own lives, then it would be a misnomer to call that thing a right.
