  2. The start of the football season is 7 months away, but that shouldn't stop us from talking about the 2019 season in the NLC. A few things to note: - Warsaw will have new opponents in Weeks 1 and 2 this year. The Tigers will host Huntington North in week 1 and travel to famed Ames Field for a week 2 matchup against Michigan City. Overall I would say this is a bump up in competition for Warsaw's non-conference schedule although I enjoyed the opening game against Columbia City (easy drive down US 30) and thought East Noble was a solid program to face. - Northridge will be getting a new turf football stadium (was well as turf baseball and softball fields) that should be ready for the 2020 school year. 5. Two other topics to add: - Any news on the direction Wawasee is looking? Any announcement on whether or not they are interviewing for the position and when they would like to make a decision? - Any news on the Goshen program? After consistent improvement from Year 1 to Year 2 and Year 2 to Year 3, the Redhawks have gone 3-18 the past 2 seasons and were not all that competitive in 2018. The newest enrollment figures that were posted today on the IHSAA website show steady, minimal growth as Goshen has gone from the 42nd largest school in the state in the 13-14 school years to now the 36th largest (and 5th largest school in 5A since Jeffersonville is being dropped down thanks to Columbus East success factor bumping them to 6A). It sure would be nice to see that program rebound and get back on the path they were headed a few years ago. FWIW these are the enrollment #s that were posted: 2,103 Warsaw 1,923 Goshen 1,657 Concord 1,567 Memorial 1,397 Northridge 1,097 Plymouth 939 Wawasee 901 NorthWood 1,477 Mishawaka* Added that last one for fun for the 2020 season 😄
