I think the larger point is that the other AD’s and conference leadership has intentionally had a negative impact on the IU program. It is unfortunate that it takes multiple seasons of evidence to get a level of respect that would have IU playing in a NY6 game. Each season should stand alone when it comes to bowl selection. IU earned a spot this season, and the conference leadership did not support them. I am not at all willing to give Glass a pass of any sort here either....if you sat in on meetings and saw firsthand that these things were happening to IU, grow a pair and speak out.....then. Doing so now does not exonerate him of any blame.

So the Bears will most likely finish 8-8 and miss the playoffs. Mediocrity abounds. And that seems to be the way the Bears ownership wants it, reminds me of the Ford family and the Lions......................

Were the NE8 to actually consider doing this. I would AUTOMATICALLY nominate/suggest Angola for admittance. They are an outlier in the NECC and really should be a larger (more demographically similar and in size to their school). As for whom the 10th team should be, I have NO Idea of "who fits the bill" to join also. It may be a situation where the NE8 looks to "raid" another conference for that 10th member. Of course, due to travel, It would behoove the conference to consider later start times in all sports for the trip to Angola for the 'southern based" conference members. Having said all that...I think most conferences DO NOT want to become 'closed' when it comes to FB.

There shouldn’t be any talk. The Evansville schools need to play each other in all sports, while schools in the hinterland need to find what’s in their best interest. This applies all over the state. Sure, it would be great to have a Premier League of football teams, but other sports also matter.
