  1. Hey all! I realize I've been lame and absent for quite abit. Life summons I guess, but football season is upon us...so I plan to be active as I can! Anyway... I was made away of the passing of Tom Dawson. The name prolly doesn't shake any thoughts, but he was very active as well as a moderator at some point as "ItIsWhatItIs" and before that as "USNAVRET". You might have been aware that he had been fighting cancer for a long time. He wasn't able to go to games last year because of the Covid scare. I feel badly that I hadn't kept in touch with him. But this medium was our main place to meet and talk. Granted, he could be a little over the top in his posts, and certainly was a hardcore Linton Miner advocate... he was a great guy in person, and I know I will miss his it is what it is ness..... My thoughts are with his son... a former Linton player.. and of course his family. He also was a veteran who served his country well. Godspeed Tom. We'll carry the torch! Miner Pride

  2. Certainly a candidate from a few for "contraction", it certainly looks like the Lancer football program has risen from the ashes: http://www.dailyjournal.net/2021/07/12/edinburgh_football_building_momentum_on_off_field-2/?fbclid=IwAR3Dd4apO5XWBpLLB9FI4ejJEhM2pbm_7HKNHRMG5kjeafbOTh9Qfl17LTs#.YOyg-PyTslM.facebook http://indianahsfootball.homestead.com/logs/Edinburgh.htm#loaded

  3. These kids at Edinburgh love football and the town is just amazing when it comes to support. Hopefully this year will be the huge turning point for our program. Lots of Talent on this team. Thank you for the kind words. Small schools do matter.

  7. Yes, the "tax the rich" solution all your socialists champion. Here's a little tidbit for your Dante; that won't work. There isn't enough of the "rich" out there, taxed into oblivion, to cover all the debts our government holds. And now the ponzi scheme that is social security comes to light. You do realize the FICA taxes you currently pay doesn't go into some government held account that you then have access to when you reach a certain age? No, that confiscated money comes out of your coffer and almost immediately goes into the coffers of current social security recipients. It's a wealth transfer, nothing more.

  9. Interesting idea, but there are some things to keep in mind. One, it really is not an all star game. Starting at the region level, each class must be represented in each region. One thing that has been brought up before is maybe having a 1A-3A game, and a 4A-6A game. Another issue is who is available to play. Many DI programs do not want their players participating in the game. Another factor is the way the regions are drawn.....Indianapolis is its own region while regions 6 and 8 surround Indy, and the distance is pretty extreme. Region 6 has North Montgomery down to the area just North of Evansville, and goes to the Indiana border. Maybe split Indy into a North and South region? or even an East and West? I know some of the distance issue is unavoidable; so with that being the case, maybe use sectional groups to vote on players? All that said, in previous years, the North has been able to hold its own in the game. Blowouts are not the norm. I did not go this year, but the previous few years I did go, it is well attended. So, I am not sure there will be much urgency to change things.

  10. I believe this - The Democrat party stole the 2020 election by using the loopholes in the voting system to place unchecked and unverified votes from people on the voter roles who actually didn't even show up to vote. Pretty hard to prove anything was illegal without physically going to each voter to verify. These loopholes in the system are being closed with common sense laws meant to ensure that anyone who can LEGALLY cast a vote can actually do it securely and those that don't want to won't have to worry about it. Case in point, my father passed away in 1988. When I showed up to vote in the 2020 election, his name had a signature beside indicating he had already voted. I raised a fuss, and his name was removed from the voter roles the next election, but the election agent working the poll said she has had that happen many times before, but most people don't say anything.

  12. At least he admits he's wrong right from the start. Whenever these people cite anything other than the Fraser Institute, we will talk. And even then it's a straw man to always focus on Canada. No one ever complains about Australia.
