  1. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2024/01/03/ihsaa-basketball-casey-gaynor-completes-goal-to-ref-at-every-indiana-high-school-gym/72078840007/ Nice story. Makes me wonder if the same feat has been performed for Indiana high school football fields/stadiums?

  2. My reply was just to the statement that the p/p advantages evaporate at 4A enrollement. 25 years of games, 18 times included one of those three, 3 times it was two of them. I agree that, thus far, only IC has been able to have sustained success beyond that.

  3. Seconded. Ask Belichick about that reality. Most coaches are only as good as their players. Frank Vogel went 54-110 in two years in Orlando, was fired, hired by the Lakers and won a championship the next year. Monty Williams went from winning 60 games a year in Phoenix to coaching the Pistons and went two entire months without recording a win.

  4. I agree with your assessment. The R clearly communicates with 70. 70 is brushing his chest as he's running to the R so that is a form of reporting. He wasn't intending to actually report. Coach Campbell has admitted they were attempting to deceive the Cowboys defense so they didn't know who was reporting. There is nothing wrong with doing that, but I don't get why they would do it. The referee is going to tell the defense who reported so any deception goes away long before the they get lined up. It's 100% on the Lions to make sure the referee knows who is reporting. The R never acknowledged 68 but he did acknowledge 70 so even if they didn't hear the announcement on the PA of 70 reporting as eligible, 70 knew he was the one identified as eligible by the R. The referee had no idea he had the wrong number so I'm not sure how he can be faulted in any way here. If the Lions had made sure 68 was the one who was considered as reporting the play was perfectly legal.

  5. This article claims the Chargers are gaining steam in getting Harbaugh as their next head coach. I can see this because of their home, stadium and most importantly, they have a QB. Would be good to get him in the pros and out of the college game, given the need to follow rules. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10103414-jim-harbaugh-rumors-chargers-have-gained-steam-as-fit-amid-michigan-hcs-nfl-links Finebaum confident he is leaving Michigan.

  6. Not sure how this checks out when Cathedral, Roncalli, and Dwenger are some of the most successful programs in the state at these levels.

  7. Cathedral is a 4A enrollment-level school bumped up to 6A because of the Success Factor, but I'm not aware on any p/p school with a true 5A or 6A enrollment. I believe it's a reference to school choice / vouchers..

  8. Fake news. No way FHS can afford a press box like that. More than likely that is the design for the monied Tri-West's new press box..............................

  9. He's gone. What else is there to prove at Michigan? He goes out currently owning Ohio State, Big Ten, and possibly College Football. He's not going to go through a reset at Michigan when he wants that Super Bowl trophy.

  10. Glad to see some new blood and both games be highly competitive. Refreshing for a change. Thought UM would have opened as a much bigger favorite but suppose it'll get bet up a few more points before kick off. I do think UM has a big advantage in the trenches but Penix does such a great job of getting the ball out on time and delivering it on point. Michigan will ground and pound until Washington stops it, can they score enough points to keep it close?

  11. He was in on some big plays tonight including the final play. I took a screenshot of this pic after the play ended from the CBS Sports website.

  12. A travesty? Sounds like for every kid the State uses vouchers on, Mr. Taxpayer’s burden is lessened. You ought to be championing the use of vouchers. Or you can look at it this way: if vouchers were eliminated, every kid who goes to a public school who would have gone to a p/p under the voucher program increases the tax burden.

  13. Seems like those schools have larger problems than worrying about how many football games their team wins.
