  1. Kinda thought the differences were obvious. Corso does not do color commentary on games. He is hardly even on the pregame show any more. People can choose to not watch the pregame shows, but if you choose to watch the games, you are stuck with Herbstreit.

  2. I actually wrote that and erased it. Didn't feel like diving in. Still perplexed as to why that question needs an answer, lol. Let's just say 90% of fans don't want to listen to a biased point of view and call it a day.

  3. I don't believe anyone has claimed there is an on field advantage. That said, think about how everyone at that network was going on and on about Alabama getting in. Now think, ESPN's contract to show SEC games is a whopping $5 BILLION. That means they are paying the conference $300 Mill a year. Compare that to CBS who was paying just $55 Mill a year to the conference. I don't want to say it's a factor, but the message going into the playoff was VERY clear about who should get in. Bottom line is that bias is just annoying. The lovefest/man crush that Jim Nantz had with Tom Brady was f'ing annoying, as it is now with Mahomes. Herbstreit was bad throughout that semifinal game. If I want to get that bias, I will listen on the radio to the team's broadcast.

  4. Good Move for Bulldogs Hard to snag option for CP in week 2, Illinois is week 1, you saw what was available year 1 of Coach Buzz, then the cool opportunity for the Arizona game as a 1 off last year. Playing Andrean doesn't make sense

  5. Scenario in Coach Sparty World You are coaching North Newton Spartans, 2023, you show up to August practice with 17 guys on the roster, its time for your 1st team session and you and your staff want finally reps in contact team session, thud, or otherwhise, Johnny did not come to any of Coach Sparty's off season workouts, but he did show up day 1 with is physical and all his paperwork. Johnny goes through the practice and does all the running and all the Coach Sparty individual drill work as assigned by coaches, so its time to get in there as a "Scout" team member, yet per your response, you would go tell that kid to go to the sidelines. I believe I have outline that philosophy correctly, if not what am I missing? Or better yet, said player can allow you 12 players to play a JV game ( yes I have coached JV games with 12, 13, 14 guys before) you go to the game, he is the only kid who did not get a snap in all game, because you know, non mandatory work outs that were missed. I am sure the rest of the team, parents admins would support you in this scenario to prove your point and I am sure that will equate in postiive experience for Coach Sparty team in the future off season workouts. Good Luck

  6. This is WHAT those "North of US24" need to be doing! Play schools outside of the area, and see how you compare. The ability to learn and have a template for further competition, is NOT a weakness! I honestly go back to the Noblesville 1st round game a few years back vs. an SAC Champion Homestead team to see the competition situation. 9-0 Homestead. Then barely squeaking by a Noblesville team that was 1-8 in the HCC in OT.

  7. Herbstreit shouldn't be allowed to call Ohio State games.

  8. He has a better deal in South Bend; even signing an extension through the 2030 season....I would doubt that he even interviews. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/marcus-freeman-long-term-extension-notre-dame

  9. I get the annoying part and now that you point out the money/bias angle, that makes sense. I understood the annoying part. I was just thinking advantage some how.

  11. Then just agree with me, and stop quoting or "tempting" @temptation for some sort of response. He'd agree with me. I am a NORTHERN guy, and there's no defense for 6A football outside of scheduling better competition that doesn't include Indy or the "donut". Snider didn't win one in 6A! So I don't think that you hold any argument on that regard. 5A ain't 6A Football! 😆 Boxer briefs. Boxer briefs. And is was 5 years ago. We haven't begun 2025.

  12. Not sure why you're getting your panties in a wad. All I said was that a game from six years ago was an overrated example. Pretty sure the Snider team that I cited did win a blue ribbon, lol. Geeesh. Either you're struggling to articulate yourself or I'm struggling to comprehend. Remind me again of they point you're trying to make. That teams up north need to schedule Indy teams? Been doing that for the past two seasons.

  13. I'm not arguing that that the Indy burbs don't own 6A football. I'm just saying that Homestead's overtime victory over Noblesville is an "overrated" example. Homestead blew threw the SAC with a healthy Hardwick that year, by FAR the Spartan's MVP of the team. Losing him before the playoffs really hurt that them. You also have to look at the human element of a team that's 9-0 going up against an unfamiliar opponent that's 1-8. Something tells me that Homestead wasn't too jacked up to be in that game after a two hour drive. While everyone is quick to bring that game to the forefront, no one seems to want to remember how Snider clobbered Warren Central two seasons ago or how Carroll took out the HCC's #1 team the year before that. Two years ago the HCC's #1 team bowed out to a team in the far Northwest corner. But hey, if you want to site a one off game from 2019, go right ahead. Was it an eye opener? Sure, I never said it wasn't. But it sure as hell doesn't tell the entire story. Let me have it @temptation!

  15. I was close on the 31-28 ND victory I posted in other thread, I invested in only investment that paid me off at +650, that was ND winning by 1-5 points. 🙂 On first glance, the question is health of ND offensive line moving forward to the 20th, that may cause the line to move closer to -7.5 or 8 to OSU. Don't think it goes any higher than -9.5 personally. Can ND take a page out of Michigan playbook and control up front and grind out the game, keep OSU offense on the sideline and out of rhythm. I am not sure yet....... not ready to invest quite yet, 9 more days to go.

  17. Bully? Lol. Ask for a ride. Use the phone that’s in their hands 24/7. If you want to be there, you will find a way. Enough with the excuses. I have done my part derailing this thread and i apologize. I will not be commenting further on this.
