  1. I don't have time to go back through the mess, but @Muda69 is an excellent GID member. Like @temptation and a handful of others, he often takes the opposing opinion or challenges conventions and keeps the convo going, and we need that around here.

  2. Ok. I no longer have any family members in the school there, although my brother is there in perpetuity on the Husky Hall of Fame wall as part of the only undefeated football team in the history of the school.(1970) I had children in the school system for all but 5 years between 1982 and 2023. 2000-2005 were the only years I didn't have to pay any student fees.

  5. Don't be barbaric... the former Illinois counties will of course have to change their names in deference to their new Indiana overlords...

  8. I don't think you can blame the guy for having passion. Quite frankly, need more of it at the high school level.

  10. Population may drop by that much, but I don't know if that will lead to an overall reduction in schools. A lot of smaller schools are already as consolidated as they're going to get. I could see financial pressures causing a consolidation like Parke Heritage's in some places where you might have two schools in shrinking communities close to each other like you might find in Wayne or Randolph Counties, but I don't see too many of them. What it *may* do, especially without co-ops, is shrink the number of schools playing 11-man football. A much bigger issue is if this hypothetical goes through (and it likely won't) is that Illinois allows co-ops - and had a long, long-standing tradition of co-op programs (especially in football). Indiana does not. That could lead to some issues.

  13. I have posited these important questions to my spouse. Here are her responses: No. Not really. Maybe sentimental value? Drones will probably be around for a long time for recording games from a certain distance. The next big thing will be either be small cameras on the player's helmets and referee's hats or ocular implants with recording capability.

  14. The rest of you can bash on the guy, but gotta give him props. For him to view that HC job 30k times on his own to generate these numbers is impressive work. Gotta respect a man that works at his craft and puts in the time. Skys the limit for this guy and what he's trying to accomplish. Hats off to him lol.

  17. Boomer runs a boomer site on a boomer platform, whines like a boomer, deflects like a boomer. Sorry to the rest of you boomers, he gives y'all a bad name. Let me find out this guy is like 25 or something. Brags about clearing "five figures" on copying and pasting people's email responses. I thought I spent a lot of time keeping up with high schools sports, this guy works 24/7 to clear 10k lmao
