  1. IMO there was no chance they were interested in Marcus Freeman

  2. JJ McCarthy declaring for the NFL draft. Smart move? Does he leave a year early if Jimmy Boy is returning? Anticipating potential sanctions? Sorry about typo in the thread post…

  3. Whoa! Did not see that one coming. Two observations: The Love kid can really play. Looks like the Packers hit the QB lottery … again. There has to be a scapegoat in Dallas. Dan Quinn, the DC was thought to be bulletproof and headed to a HC job somewhere. Is this the year Jerry decides that Mike McCarthy has taken them as far as he can, and they need someone else to get them the rest of the way? Do not miss Steven A. Smith’s inevitable rant about the Cowboys on First Take tomorrow morning.

  4. Not 100% sure but they still have to get through admissions to be accepted into ND. And I don’t think there’s much wiggle room when it comes to admissions. For example, I had heard a coaches kid (who went to Oklahoma and has entered the transfer portal but still doesn’t have the grades to get into ND) wouldn’t be accepted into ND as a possible transfer candidate. Again not sure if that’s true but I just had heard. The only thing that’s changed is that the irish now take undergrad transfers, before they would only take in grad transfers.

  5. I know this the timeline is earlier, but thinking Penn had the best run ever in Indiana high school football. over 6 year period, 5 trips to title game winning 4 of them. Not sure who else has had a better run in top class??

  6. You've got to admire a guy who is willing to accept a challenge like that. The $10+ million a year probably doesn’t hurt, either. Washington will always be a red-headed stepchild in the B1G. Now he’s at the marquee school in the marquee conference. Guy’s definitely got some big ones!

  7. Don't blame him one bit, cannot imagine at his stature in the game it is worth it to Coach Saban to continue to coach in this new era of NIL ownership of teams, Coach Saban is not someone who would enjoy that aspect of the current status of CFB. I salute Coach, tremendous coach.
