  1. NJ-SP will be a force in 1A for the foreseeable future. Even "coaches" learn things, and see teachable situations as time goes by. And that's a disparaging remark. I have always tried to suggest within a 'blowout' win, to think about the larger situation and perhaps the negative things that could happen within a contest that is well within control to a sideline. 54-0 would have been a moment for that to happen.
  2. Probably the most STRAIGHT FORWARD post @temptation ever made. But "all" #1's IMO
  3. @Boilernation This IS what I said.... Not YOUR paraphrase and changes of my posting that only mentioned particular Northern schools!
  4. Nope... It HASN'T and won't until the Northern teams can look beyond "conference" competition as the barometer of success. Defeatist? I prefer to look at the situation as a decades' (+) worth of PROOF of Central Indiana (and the donut) dominance at the 6A level. What are you looking for? A fight between myself and a HS Coach? Be serious! Video, Numbers, History doesn't lie! I'm a Northern guy....and it'd be great when someone can break through at LOS. So if that's something that ruffles your feathers, so be it! You are arguing the same side of the coin, that I am. Unfortunately, you seem to think that I have some sort of 'agenda'. As for reffing a game.... I care less who wins or loses EVERY GAME! It's a play to play situation that determines how I view things. I only offered a "fan" suggestion when allowed and not constrained by the situation(s). That is NOT officiating at the time and place.... I'm not a graduate of any Indiana HS. As for this discussion...there's NO WAY that I can ever begin to see you @Boilernation to see anything other than a disparagement of an official who has offered a personal suggestion for the Northern 6A teams to try and compete with Central (Southern as determined by the geographic selection with IHSAA FB) in order to try and level their outlook and bring home a title.

  6. A victory lap? Why do I care one bit about who wins? My response was about the competition level that 6A plays in the North will not prepare them for anything that would see at LOS. I'll stand by that after seeing 2 schools with 3000 students battle it out this year. If you believe that anything I said was specifically aimed at a particular 6A North school, then you are sadly mistaken. Its aimed at ALL of them. It is probable (perhaps obvious) that because of demographics that Central Indiana has a distinct advantage in number athletes they can outfit and put on the field of play each year. But that should not be the reason that Northern (smaller mostly) schools can't break through in 6A. Competition in the regular season has to be looked at. As for THIS posting.... Bishop Luers plays UP with their competition within the SAC, and that prepares them for the postseason tournament well most years. I can assure you that many fans were confident in the matchup vs. Heritage Hills being one they could manage. WELP... Not knowing the entirety of what HH could/would bring to the show, that confidence went out the window at LOS. They absolutely put on a show and truly looked great on Saturday. I did have a caveat for 3A with regards to BLHS though. They are "loaded" with their underclassmen and I'd think that they could very well be back at LOS in the ensuing years.
  7. Totally agree. He didn't look right last week at the Semi-State, IMO. Then had a number of guys today, say that they saw a NOTICEABLE limp during the game from him, but he was "toughing" it out.
  8. Put your money where YOUR mouth is! The GID could use a donation. 🤨 Or, is this some sort of "glory days" thing that you think any of us care about? Congrats, now move on....the game is over. Accept the trophy (also the blue ribbons) , and just relish in their eternal triumph.
  9. AGAIN. Time to put a CAP on this one! The "rookies" are showing their arse by keeping this going, at this point....
  10. 38-24 DC over Warsaw (FINAL)
  11. 38-24 DC (minute left)
  12. 38-17 DC (74 yard TD run) 3 minutes left
  13. May as well shut this one down! The "MACHO" has begun to make itself seen. Last I checked, young men played the game today.... A final score was posted. DONE, onto 2025
  14. No. That rule changed a few years ago in conjunction with DPI no longer being an automatic 1st down.
  15. It was "brought up" at halftime in the lockerroom... I can VERIFY that, Bob
  16. Yes ALL new series start as 1st and 10.
  17. It's Donnie. I'm pretty sure he spelled it, as he perceives it: Lures
  18. Should they all stay and be a part of the program.... BLHS is gonna be "loaded".
  19. If ya want to get BLHS. Do it THIS year! I had the lower levels as an official, and I'm convinced that they have RELOADED and will be a force in 3A for at least the next 3 seasons
  20. My 1st State Finals. And though I wasn't concerned about the fans in the stands. When I watched the broadcast later, it was obvious and apparent that Westfield brought THE crowd. Again in 2021 vs. Center Grove I wish the best for the Westfield program. Time to bring a blue ribbon home!
  21. I have no "dog" in this fight. But I am going NORTH across the board! Then I'm sitting my butt down at LOS and enjoying 2 days of IHSAA FB....
  22. Love the Panthers, but I don't see that coming.... and I ain't being a Debbie Downer.
  23. My guess is that Snider will be back in 5A after the SF wears off on them. I can't see Carroll staying in the Sectional they are in now for too very long; A realignment might bring the FW Area schools back together at Sectionals in some sort of way.
  24. Dammit, Rodney I hope to run into you...on the real. No need to make things public. But we both LOVE this forum.
