Actually MORE regular. Because the weather forecast is a "hope"..they miss sometimes. Once the IHSAA FB Finals games are decided, THIS (p/p v. public) is the 1st thing that is "bitched" about. Followed closely by the "you haven't played anyone"...we have (insert school here). Then NWI somehow going silent (as always). Wash, Rinse, Repeat!

Because that's the way the NFHS wrote the rule. NO, just the 4 "roughings" result in an automatic 1st down. (don't forget roughing the snapper #4)

May as well get your own show on ESPN, this posting was right on point. The field conditions weren't great, and I hate to think was the Jays will look like on turf next week, as they still were able to run the ball effectively last evening. No issues with weather or wind for the most part. The Starfires have NOTHING to hang their heads about...GREAT RUN that will lead them to success as the ensuing years come about. Fun fact: Looked up in the end zone and who do I see? (the legend) Bud Wright! Special thanks to Coach Wright for all that he's brought to IN football. A lasting legacy that has son's who have already made impacts in their own "wright". 🙂

As I said before, and got THROUGHLY "roasted" by Da Region guys..... Unless and until the Northern schools in 6A start playing beyond US24 on a regular basis and getting a feel for this type of play, the (true) North is just playing for the red ribbon in 6A. I stand by that; To paraphrase a statement by Barry Goldwater in 64 (ugh).... "In Your Heart you know I'm Right".

As I said, MY GUY did NOT get paid last week. He was this week by the host school. Again, see what JustRules said before...that's the 'disconnect. The IHSAA was/is paying NADA! Done multiple State Finals, they didn't pay there for the 6th.

And Prime needs to STAY in Boulder if we wants to be relevant! Jerra already had the ULITMATE coach for 'Dem Boyz'.... Jimmy Johnson. But Jerra's head was too full of himself to even acknowledge the situation and be along for the ride, instead of giving credit to a fantastic hire for the circus that WAS the Dallas Cowboys. BTW, I HATE the Cowboys, and always will! Loving the mediocracy and irrelevancy that "America's Team" has become for 3 Decades.

How or WHY is this any different than Jack Elway or Archie Manning dictating where his son would/wouldn't play? I think at some point it is wise to guide your sibling to the 'best' possible outcome for their future based upon your knowledge (history) of NFL interactions. Seems it worked out fantastic for both on their way to the HOF. (Eli will be there THIS year). And NO WAY "Prime" will ever accept being the HC of the Cowboys with Jerra still in charge!

And here's the "beauty" of all of that.... He (alternate official) DOESN'T get paid to be there! It's volunteer.

Have they ever tried to play any games at this gym since the school closed/consolidated? I know Eastside (Butler, IN of the NECC) does at their old gymnasium each year.....

The "positioning" of an offensive or defensive player (including the QB's as being 'in the pocket') has absolutely NO bearing in HS football as to whether or not it was/was not an penalty infraction. Again. this is HS football...NOT Collegiate or Professional FB.

THAT'S my point! Why someone would think is about a specific school, is beyond me? Dammit, I'd like a NORTHERN school to win the damned thing....SOON!

I am not here to get PERSONAL with anyone. Facts are facts. A winless Noblesville team almost beat the SAC Champion Homestead a few years ago, and we were all predicting a Spartan wipeout. Unless and until a "true" Northern Indiana team can break out of a 'red ribbon'. Then sadly we are playing for an appearance at 6A. I wise man once said: In order to BE the "Man"....You need to BEAT "the Man". I also add to that...PLAY "the Man" and see what you may/may not need to "beat the Man".

Always.... and as an educator and coach. I'm sure he'd say the dearth of success at the 6A level is obvious at areas beyond US24 AND that includes a number of schools...not specifically CP.

Again, how's about scheduling them in the REGULAR season. Yes, Carroll/Snider are doing that as well as a number of other NE Indiana schools (playing up). But the CP discussion is kinda wild. Week 2 is a wonderful opportunity to get into BIG BOY competition beyond the DAC. This entire tirade is futile until the North (of US 24) actually is competitive at LOS in 6A at this point. The 80's and 90's were decades ago!
