  1. I'd assume there's quite a few people who've thrown their names in the hat already
  2. They lost their edge when Radke left for New Prairie. I'd say they're trying to get it back with this hire.
  3. Prepared for the hate that's coming, but if Harrison Jr. isn't taken out by Georgia, OSU wins the Natty.
  4. Funny thing is, 15 years later the admin there is still horrible
  5. Three times* (not to nitpick)
  6. There was a leaked hire announcement that led to that candidate backing out of the job
  7. Michigan City is an infinitely better job than Portage. I'm sure they'll be a lot of interest in that job. Mason resigning at MC hurts Portage's search even more than it has already been blundered.
  8. Young was making throws in the Sugar Bowl game that I've yet to see Fields make. Personally I think the juries still out on whether or not Fields can be a true franchise caliber QB. He's obviously a great athlete and has shown flashes but nothing sustained in the passing game (and don't tell me that's just on not having good receivers). There were games even at the end of the year you could tell the coaching staff didn't trust him enough to start airing the ball out. However, I think the Bears should trade down (maybe even multiple times). They've got one of the worst rosters top to bottom in the league. The defense (outside of the secondary) is horrendous and the O-Line and receiving corps in total are dreadful as well. Even though I'm much more skeptical than most, to me, Fields has earned the right to see show how far he can go as a QB in the league.
  9. Anyone know what his 40 time was coming out? Most of the top backs coming out of HS run around 4.5. On the recruiting websites like 247 they always state whether a kid runs track and if they have measurable speed times. If he wasn't running in track events or didn't have any measurable times for recruiters, that could've hurt his stock, especially when you take into Temp's point about white skill players (which we all know is true; "sneaky quick", etc.)
  10. Thanks for putting this together. I will say that Mount Carmel seems a little low
  11. Wunderlich was really impressive to me at the state finals. As soon as I saw him during warmups I thought he looked like a different player than the year prior, and he played like a different player too. Some of the throws he made in that game were downright elite. I know he visited Wisconsin last year, does anyone know if anything came from that? With the caliber of some of the QB play I've seen in the Big Ten the past few years, I don't see why a team like the Badgers or Iowa wouldn't take him. Kid has the size, arm talent, and (from an outsider's perspective) the intangibles to be successful at a high level.
  12. Congrats to Drayk Bowen, Micah Coyle, and Mason Wunderlich on being named as the 3 finalists for 2022 Mr. Football. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/12/14/indiana-mr-football-2022-award-three-finalists-drayk-bowen-micah-coyle-mason-wunderlich-ihsaa/69726636007/ Who wins and why?
  13. Agree...I think Roncalli, EC, and New Pal would all be heavily favored but Reitz and Memorial...not so much, I like any of the teams you listed by about 2 TDs.
  14. Flip Hansen and Bowen's lines and tell me how things play out...
  15. Congrats to Drayk Bowen on being recognized as the best HS LB in the country. An honor for himself, Andrean, and the whole state of Indiana.
  16. Honestly I'd love to hear some of the logic used to not vote for him. It's one thing to debate whether he should've been the overall Mr. Football, but to not give him the positional is highway robbery imo...
  17. Parkhurst talking to himself on this thread:
  18. And when Kiser won he didn’t play a schedule in the top 200.
  19. Against Merrillville he had 16 tackles and against CP he had 8, that’s bad? The rushing numbers were bad because the line was bad. That’s the point I was making earlier. I watched those games listed, he was still the best player on the field in them.
  20. And yet he still put up 350 yards and 5 TDs that game vs Luers. The truth is the MD game is why people don’t think he’s Mr. Football. Yeah he didn’t play his best game, obviously. Don’t think you can take the award away on one game alone. To me he was the best player in the state this year. You can say I’m biased as an alum but I think I can remove myself enough to give an objective opinion. Bowen was the definition of “Put the Team on Your Back” this year. Hansen was great and if he won I wouldn’t even be mad but to me Bowen deserves it for what he did this year.
  21. Lol those quotes don’t make your point but from what you say about your drinking habits I’m guessing you’ve been hitting the bottle hard. Bowen is Mr. Football because he was the best, most impactful player to his team in the state this year.
  22. We’re not talking about basing the award in what-ifs. Keep up here Rodney this isn’t complicated.
  23. You act like teams didn’t stack the run against Bowen, lol. Give Bowen 400 carries behind that line and he puts up at the VERY LEAST the same yardage as Hansen…
  24. This is reflective of the quality of Andrean's line vs Roncalli's line. Not Bowen vs Hanson.
