A huge rivalry in the U.P. is the Hurley Midgets (Northstars) vs Ironwood Red Devils on the state line between Wisconsin and Michigan.

Lowell is Lowell this time of year. It is a program built on playing their best football in the tournament. All schools say that is their goal, but the Red Devils deliver year in year out.

As a proud Hobart grad who has sat through 8 of their state championship games, and attended this past game. Any school would be glad to be playing in the state championship game. Hobart has had a very strong class just come through, and based on what I have seen from the coaching staff they have done an excellent job of incorporating underclassmen with this group. The culture that Coach Osika has built is solid, the school and community support has always been there. The future does look bright.

Staxawax: As far as the 1975 State Championship between Valpo and Carmel, I attended the game. Not sure that the weather neutralized Mark Herrmann as much as the the Single Wing offense by Tom Stokes controlled the clock.

Heard they were meeting to change rule # 22.7 in volleyball rule book dealing with the width of net.

Quick Question What would be your plan with spring sports if you moved football to the spring?? Spring sports have already missed a full season.

Portage New Football Coach Terry Chestovich

Just saying that leaving the players now during these times leaves alot to be desired. The players are the ones who are hurting now. Bob I have as much non-public information as you do, and we all know how knowledgeable you are.

I am really struggling with what Russ did to Portage. I had a little respect for him before now none. What does Portage do now??? I really feel for the young men in program.
