That’s not how it works… -
Does Edmond play both ways?

Great point.

Plus Carmel and Center Grove... 6-2 last week. Avon @ Ben Davis: Avon hung tough with a solid LN outfit at home last week but came up short whereas BD made the statement of the early season in throttling one of Ohio's best. Giants may be due for a let down and I expect a bit of a slow start before they begin to roll. BD wins 42-17. Christian Brothers (MO) @ Carmel: Hounds get Missouri power CBC and their high powered offense. A pair of high level Big Ten recruits on each side of the ball including a WR headed to Ohio State. I do think the travel and the fact that this is CBC's first contest whereas Carmel has already played bodes well for the 'Hounds but I think they come up short here. CBC wins 34-23. Fishers @ Pike: A second straight blowout likely for Fishers as they get the "other" MIC bottom feeder, albeit an improved Pike squad. The Red Devils will rely heavily on the home field to keep this one close, but I just don't see it. Tigers roll 38-13. Fort Wayne North @ Lawrence North: Speaking of high level recruits. North Side was without their combo last week and is rumored to once again be shorthanded on the bus ride to Indy this weekend. Sorry but that is a recipe for disaster against a MIC outfit like LN. Wish them a speedy recovery but gimme the Wildcats here 30-14. Hamilton Southeastern @ North Central: Royals got revenge on their homefield last week avenging 2022's semi-state loss to Carroll. They'll breathe easier this week as the work in progress that is NC awaits. Royals win 49-7. Oakland (TN) @ Center Grove: Don't know a ton about the Tennessee squad other than the fact that they appear in the national polls. I like CG on their homefield regardless in what I can only describe as a homer pick. CG wins 23-21. Warren Central @ Carroll (Fort Wayne): Don't know where to start here but I never thought I would see big bad Warren Central get bullied at the line of scrimmage and then have inadequate speed against ANYONE, but here we are. Taking nothing away from Snider but that final score shocked me. It doesn't get any easier this week as the Warriors travel to Carroll. Gut check time for the Warriors and though I think they'll improve week by week, I have to take Carroll here. Chargers win 28-20. Westfield @ Lawrence Central: An underrated game on the schedule and two teams coming off blowout wins and looking to get into the state title discussion. I could see this one going either way and am going to take the easy way out and take the home team by 3 in what could also be viewed as a mild upset. Bears win 30-27.

8-0 last week...lets see if we can keep it going. Fishers @ Pike: A second straight blowout likely for Fishers as they get the "other" MIC bottom feeder, albeit an improved Pike squad. The Red Devils will rely heavily on the home field to keep this one close, but I just don't see it. Tigers roll 38-13. Hamilton Southeastern @ North Central: Royals got revenge on their homefield last week avenging 2022's semi-state loss to Carroll. They'll breathe easier this week as the work in progress that is NC awaits. Royals win 49-7. Homestead @ Noblesville: An interesting matchup of two often overlooked squads in their respective geographic regions of the state. Spartans earned a moral victory last week with a close loss to Carmel and are out to prove they haven't taken a step back. Noblesville trying to prove is annual August success is not a fluke this time. I'll take the home team 27-20. Indianapolis Cathedral @ Brownsburg: Best game in the state this weekend in my opinion and both coming off blowout wins. The traditional power against the upstart squad who hasn't won one in over 30 years. Were this an October/postseason game I would take the Irish but it always seems like the Bulldogs get up for an early season contest which raises expectations. 'Dogs win this one 27-24. Indianapolis Roncalli @ Franklin Central: Franklin Central's time is NOW. Booming enrollment, solid facilities, and an investment in the football program we have not seen since the 80s. This is an underrated "rivalry" on the southeast side of Indianapolis as many families have folks on both sides of this one. I think the Flashes pull a mild upset here. 20-17. Zionsville @ Lebanon: Lebanon is growing but is not quite ready for the prime time that awaits. Zionsville gets a breather here after a nail biting win at home last week against Pike. Eagles win comfortably 37-14. What say you?

CG JV just stomped Warren 55-0… Maybe they should take em off the schedule at all levels? -
Edmond makes NorthWood a different team though, no? No backing out…bet is on if NorthWood makes it to LOS. I get em +27.5.

You’re telling me a 4A school with guys committed to Georgia/Michigan can’t stay within 28 of East Central? Really?

How strong was their opponent? How you feeling about the matchup? They really coming up on FRIDAY? -
I think I agree. Beginning to wonder if they just wanted to control the narrative while missing zero conference games… Even if the NCAA is hell bent on 4, they open with Fresno State in 2024 before hosting TEXAS in week 2.

Interesting that some of the Ohio slappies over on Yappi are taking a victory lap for St. Ed’s margin of victory over CG while BD’s win over Moeller is a footnote. Doesn’t help matters that our own @BDGiant93 made his way over there with some fake outrage about seating capacities without doing his homework and they laid into him pretty good. As one who thought the Hoosier state was going 0-2 over the weekend, I’ll take the split. BD has to now avoid a let down against Avon (shouldn’t be much of a problem) while CG hosts Oakland (TN) FRIDAY night if I am reading Harrell correctly. Seems bizarre? Anyone know for sure? Also, a quick glance of 247’s top Tennessee recruits gives me confidence CG will be 1-1 after this weekend. But that’s all I’ve got. -
Sounds like Harbaugh may have read your post and come to his senses…

That play sealed it for BD. Watched it live and my jaw hit the floor. -
Why’d the North Side duo not play? What’d I miss? Will they be back this week against LN?

I respect that, which is the same reason why @Slobberknocker’s prediction of BD being head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the state was so shocking. For now, I’ve got em #1 but I need to see more…from everyone. -

Had 165 all purpose yards but your point still stands. Same question to you…you’ve been bullish on BD and even used the world “clearly”. How many points better than Cathedral are they in your book? -

Man, I dunno. That’s a great question. I really wanna believe this is the year for some parity in 6A and after 1 week you could make the argument that the top 6 in my poll are separated by a razor thin margin. As for your specific question, I’m hearing Jeff wasn’t at full strength (not that I think it would have mattered) and the jury is still out on Moeller as I flipped back and forth between that game and Snider/Warren. I wasn’t impressed with Moeller’s O line despite the fact that Marshall ran for 150+. I think I’d take BD by single digits with the right to change my mind up until kickoff, lol. -
Whispers coming out of the White House that Covid restrictions are coming back…just in time for election season. Buckle up folks.

I likely overreacted on Harrison but have a lot of respect for West Lafayette so that margin of victory really stood out. -

I mean, we are taking RANKINGS and opinions here on a discussion forum…the classic “let’s let it play out” coach speak is cool and all but is also boring. BD looks like the best team right NOW is all he was saying…with admittedly a small sample size. I do disagree that “it’s not even close” however. Not sure how you can come to that conclusion after one week.
