  1. Congrats to Center Grove's Eric Moore for his 300th win as a head coach with the victory today. Just a couple of weeks ago, he celebrated his 250th win as a Center Grove Trojan. Legend!!
  2. LN put 58 on BD......wow!! Coach Mallory's squad looking tough!
  3. 4 turnovers for IU today....still puts 42 on the board. Not their best football, but still a 2 TD win over a quality for in Maryland.
  4. I love what he did...trying to change that culture off the field is a very tough task. I watched a ton of the Rutgers vs Washington game last night and the Rutgers stands were packed and stayed that way to the endo for to outstanding competitive game. If Rutgers kids can hang the end on a Friday night, surely IU fans and students can hang on until 3pm. Shame he has to do this...embarrassing actually. IU admin is on the hook as well....why they allow people to buy parking passes to tailgate without buying a ticket to the game is beyond me.
  5. yeah....I am not sure how one can overturn the call on the field.....assuming the photos I am seeing this morning are not AI generated....and who knows anymore??
  6. Sure does...will be interesting to see how both team's passing attacks are impacted by weather tomorrow. Maryland's QB is leading the Big Ten in a bunch of categories and has a favorite target. The run game with Oline play will factor in big time tomorrow...always does, but maybe even more given the expected on and off rain. Hopefully, the wind will have died down my game start.
  7. That fact is still such a kick in the crotch to Colts fans...nothing like passing up a better player....and a young man from your hometown.....ugh!
  8. No disagreement Coach....I was a little surprised the Bears pulled out the "option play" down on the goalline...that was ugly. But hey, I have to admit...I saw some nice things out of Caleb Williams...sure he made some rookie mistakes...but he did a number of good things and have a nice ball. He certainly knew how to use his TE that the Colts had no clue in defending. The Williams to Odunze connection has tremendous potential....looking like an excellent future.
  9. Nothing to do with CG....I took exception to you making way to big a deal over a single game between 2 storied programs. So both teams didn't play their best football last week...its one game. My guess is that if these teams face each other later in the season, they will be good football games. While I don't agree with all of your comments, I haven't invested enough with you one way or another to have any feelings. Don't take it so personal.
  10. I have zero connection to the BD or Warren programs. Zero. Unlike you, I have set in the stands for years when those programs have played CG, and I know how good they are and how rivalry can bring out the best and worst in a player. I do get you like to follow the Dakich footprint...and we do agree...its pretty hilarious....honestly.
  11. I can't speak for the BD coach...I know he has a pretty solid reputation and did a great job last season. If they didn't kick it immediately, perhaps he knew something you didn't about his team? I would be fairly shocked if kicking a FG as an option didn't formulate in his mind. I am just saying its a heck of a rivalry...and sometimes rivalry introduces emotion...emotion that increases the potential for human error. Perhaps this year, while both teams are strong, they may not be as strong at certain positions. While I won't say their play is due to rivalry history, I am saying I can understand if it did play some part with mistakes and perhaps trying to do things they shouldn't. Thanks for the lesson about CG football.
  12. Thank you for sharing...had not seen this!!
  13. Well, the 2 teams have been playing for what...100 years? Representing the East and West sides of Indy metro....yeah, I do think that game means something. Perhaps they didn't play their best ball, but the defenses might have had something to contribute to that...coaching malpractice...well, its tough for any coach to match wits with you......then again, we all are 100% from our Lazy Boys.... Thanks for not speaking on the behalf of CG. Those 3 schools have played classic, hard hitting games amongst each other over the past couple of decades plus. CG knows anytime your playing one of those 2 schools, bring a lunchbox. Certainly not licking their chops.
  14. The point differential was only 20 at games end, but loved that James Madison dropped 70 on North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Put 53 on the Tar Heels in the first half. Wow!
  15. No disagreement on your assessment Coach. But that was some awful football out there by both sides....much of that goes on the players themselves. Scoring a TD and chasing each other over who get's the game ball vs knowing that going for 2 had to be a predictable option?? Seriously??
  16. Very cool to hear CG's Austin Booker's name called a couple of times yesterday at the same field he's played on before. Very nice article about the young man. Austin Booker's homecoming: Roots, redemption and family (chicagobears.com)
  17. Just win baby...and move on to the next week!! Good point!
  18. Sagarin doesn't factor in out of state games, correct? That is certainly a disadvantage to some schools...and an advantage to others that don't fare well in those contests. Not disagreeing with your comment...just wish an entire body of work could be factored in for a number of schools.
  19. Center Grove 28 Trotwood Madison (OH) 25 Final
  20. Not entirely true. Article indicated insubordination and he was returned to his working status pretty darn quickly, correct? Have seen first hand what an influential parent can do if there kid isn't getting playing time or named a starter...not at all saying that is the case here, but in today's world especially, doesn't take much for things to turn...on anyone.
  21. Being a big IndyCar fan, I like this…..
  22. love this.... https://www.aol.com/indiana-football-why-coach-curt-085726183.html
  23. Coach...the Beavers are in 2nd place in their conference......
  24. not aligning could mean a ton of things...as with the term "insubordination". Depends on the magnitude and the manner of the "misalignment:. I don't know...all I can go off of at this time is what the articles state. I am also not supporting anyone on either side of the equation as I know none of the facts. I have to assume the AD had the backing of the high school administration and perhaps the school board itself. They had to know that taking that action would put the school in the crosshairs. If the AD did act alone, wow.
  25. the article simply stated "insubordination". Could it be as simple as they didn't align on an or some issues???
