  1. True...just saying based off the past 5 years or so, perhaps there is some turn in the tide.....
  2. May not be able to keep including Carmel in your example soon....5 years since a state title appearance. Heck, they haven't made it out of the sectional 4 years in a row. Been 6 years since Warren has been to state. Maybe that changes this year.
  3. You keep beating the same drum, so you will get the same response. You can't make repeated sexual references about person's spouse and then whine when you get called for it. If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen. Regardless, time to move on. He's not taking any victory lap. He is registering his opinion about this year's CP team. While I do believe like you most years, in the past CP could not hang with Indy's best programs. (they certainly couldn't last year) I am not so sure this year. I don't see clear cut dominate teams. I would not be shocked one bit who wins or loses any of the 6A regional games. Perhaps this year, CP could absolutely compete. I guess time will tell over the next few weeks.
  4. He referred to you as little boy....You are going to be ok... BTW, I don't disagree with your logic about the actual topic of CP vs Indy metro schools. Should be fun to watch it all play out. CP may go on a roll....I truly don't see a clear favorite this year in 6A.
  5. Blessings to the Faust family.
  6. Was reading this is a first with the Big 10 having 4 of the top ranked 5 teams. Is that accurate??
  7. Same Irish....all the years at the stadium as a youth and an adult, never thought I'd experience this. Was at both the Washington and Michigan games...the place is electric.
  8. Center Grove held a slim 17-14 lead over Franklin Central last night at half....and then the flood gates opened 2nd half. CG vs WC BB vs LN couple of what should be outstanding regional games in the 6A south bracket
  9. Really nIce article about the Center Grove and Franklin Central matchup tonight and the relationship between coaches Eric Moore and Jayson West. https://dailyjournal.net/2024/11/07/former-colleagues-carry-mixed-emotions-into-sectional-matchup/
  10. I agree...never in my lifetime did I ever think I would see this kind of spread. To also hear analysts call the Michigan State and Michigan games as "trap games" for IU is something I just still can't comprehend. I think there will be a fired up Wolverine team coming into Btown...I predict a tough game.
  11. Speaking of schedule strength...Center Grove ran into buzzsaw St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) last game of the season. Just read where St. Frances drubbed IMG last week 30-3.
  12. But getting the call right does matter as to which team is screaming. While its sad for any senior to conclude their football playing career regardless of which team, its still easier to swallow if the game deciding call is the correct one. Your comment feels a little like rationalizing that it doesn't matter. I struggle with that.....
  13. A little history from the links below. Looks like the Bison was the IU mascot from 1965-69. It was pulled from the bison on the state seal of Indiana. Many would love to see it returned. My son's ROTC unit at IU was known at The Bison. https://www.idsnews.com/article/2024/03/indiana-hoosiers-mascots-bring-back-bison-bloomington#:~:text=An animal once native to,the icon for its business. https://www.homefieldapparel.com/blogs/homefield-history/iu-bison-mascot-history https://www.heraldtimesonline.com/story/news/local/2024/07/12/indiana-university-mascots-bison-mr-hoosier-pride-ox-the-bulldog-what-is-ius-mascot-hoosiers/74358069007/ Another hitch: the mascot looked, arguably, terrifying. “It’s a beautiful head but it looks like the devil with a cheerleader in it,” said Bob Dro, assistant athletic director, in a 1969 IDS article. Facing a litany of issues and criticisms, the bison was retired in 1969, not even surviving through the turn of the decade. The bison lives on in Bloomington, though, still serving as the mascot of Nick’s English Hut today. Definitely can purchase merch with the IU Bison. Just gave a stuffed IU bison to one of our grandson's to recognize his Dad's time there at IU and the ROTC program. Hail Bison!!
  14. Nice W today!! Need to bring out this classic!!
  15. Fair to raise coaching concerns..... But it doesn't stop there....players have to execute Coach and you know that. They have to own the blame as much as anyone. Especially the Hail Mary. By that time in their pro career, DB's know they cannot let anyone behind them in the endzone. Instead of yapping at the fans, how about players get themselves in position to make a play and execute? Fair criticisms of the coach...but I hope they spend some time looking in the mirror. If they don't or won't, then bigger issues are on the horizon.
  16. Show me the quote about Cignetti saying poor play is the reason why they threw the ball 5 times in the second half. You can find the post game presser on YouTube and the comments in an article from SI.
  17. I just provided you a direct quote from Cignetti. Can you do the same? 2nd request I see you ignored my questions about Rourke’s MAC play on his 5th start.
  18. Show me the quote about Cignetti saying poor play is the reason why they threw the ball 5 times in the second half. What I heard straight from Cignetti at his post conference is that Washington switched up their D, moved to a zone and that led to more of a running attack. (See attached) Rourke is better….WAY more experience than anyone with 5 starts. No one is arguing that Rourke isn’t the best option. But Jackson wasn’t horrible…he was average. He did some things well and not so great. But with his experience, is that so shocking? I’m willing to bet Rourke was not destroying the MAC on his 5th start.
  19. I hate to say it because my bias for CG, but I think schools will always be open to big time recruits or high profile transfers. IU no exception. Jackson and Cherry were both 4 stars, but Coach Sunseri will look hard unless he feels super strong about them.
  20. That's an unfair and inaccurate statement. Tayven played solid ball and ran the game plan exactly how coach wanted. Sure he made some mistakes...given his level of experience, bound to happen. But he also made some nice throws and made some solid decisions out of the RPO. Threw for a TD and ran for another score. 11 for 19. Additionally, he was up against a well coached team, especially on D. Steve Belichick is an outstanding coordinator and Cignetti indicated post game, IU had to change their game plan, given what the Husky D threw at them. They had been a man D all year and to confuse a younger QB, Belichick went to a zone D. That is why in the second half, IU only threw the ball 5 times and went to a heavy run focus. Cignetti took what the D gave them. Worked out pretty well. 2 TD win over a very formidable Husky team...same Husky team that beat Michigan by 10. Rourke is absolutely at this stage of his career a better QB. Hopefully he is 100% with his thumb against Michigan State. But if not, Jackson and the IU team will be ready. I contend it will be a fight on their hands in East Lansing regardless who is leading IU at the QB position. These are games that anyone can take out anyone now.
  21. Some reports indicate he was taunting Commander fans prior to the play. Watch the video
  22. Cmon Irish...you need to be more understanding...more loving. One gets really tired going 10 for 32 passing the football in a game....2 for 15 in the first half. SMH....
  23. NIce W for the Irish. I thought the game would be much closer...I was mistaken.
