Center Grove HS is 6 miles from County Line Road and Indianapolis on the south side. If it is further than BB from Indy limits, it’s not by much.

One critic stated this years’s Navy uniforms for the big game looked like they were ordered from Temu. I think they are ok Irish, but not the best in recent years…. Let me apply your logic..... Indiana manhandled Nebraska 56-7. Ohio State barely beat Nebraska at the Shoe. Therefore, Indiana is WAY BETTER than Ohio State....... I don't know, but it would seem you put way too much faith in how teams play each other throughout the season.

Mmmmmm...be careful. Center Grove was a 6A runner up losing to Carmel 20-17 in 2019. During the regular season, New Pal beat the Trojans 28-9. In 2018, Center Grove made it to the 6A semi-state losing to undefeated state champion Warren Central 27-20. Earlier in the regular season, New Pal beat Center Grove 31-9. CP would not running clock New Pal.

Heck, couldn't we argue some of the SEC schools have been doing this for a long time. IU hired a coach away from a school in which a number of players followed. Tuberville is whining because NIL was offered to players from such CFB "bluebloods" as James Madison, Wake Forest, Kent State, etc?? There may be a playoff...but the "establishment" is the same....and they are not eager to share a piece of the pie with a newcomer....to the point, a US senator, evidently lacking any higher priorities, need to get involved in the discussion? Definitely some people feel threatened........

Temp's comment, while rough, also seems fair given history. There are several articles about the worst loss experienced by a team winning the national title. Some tough losses....but none that I could read included a loss to a mid-major.

I am not sure the cause for decline. Perhaps parent "over invested" is the primary cause. But I am not seeing the same organization, coaching and talent that I've seen in the past. I am not sure about their total numbers playing football. That's why I believe any prospective coach needs to dive into their feeder system, especially in this age where the competition is far more fierce than it was a decade or so ago. Everyone talks about Westfield (not even a thought 10 years ago) HSE, Fishers, etc. for good reason. I believe Noblesville won the IEFA championship this year. Carmel had a losing record. Lots of improvement and competition to also include other suburban schools, CYO, etc.

Any prospective coach may want to dive into their youth feeder system....doesn't seem to be as strong as it used to be for youth football. Not saying it can't change, but I would sure evaluate.....

I simply mentioned the last 5-6 years for Carmel and Warren. Its hard to deny results. Warren has improved this year and could reverse their trends. I didn't mention anything about BD or CG.

May not be able to keep including Carmel in your example soon....5 years since a state title appearance. Heck, they haven't made it out of the sectional 4 years in a row. Been 6 years since Warren has been to state. Maybe that changes this year.

You keep beating the same drum, so you will get the same response. You can't make repeated sexual references about person's spouse and then whine when you get called for it. If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen. Regardless, time to move on. He's not taking any victory lap. He is registering his opinion about this year's CP team. While I do believe like you most years, in the past CP could not hang with Indy's best programs. (they certainly couldn't last year) I am not so sure this year. I don't see clear cut dominate teams. I would not be shocked one bit who wins or loses any of the 6A regional games. Perhaps this year, CP could absolutely compete. I guess time will tell over the next few weeks.

He referred to you as little boy....You are going to be ok... BTW, I don't disagree with your logic about the actual topic of CP vs Indy metro schools. Should be fun to watch it all play out. CP may go on a roll....I truly don't see a clear favorite this year in 6A.
