  1. That's unfortunate. That program has had better days, they could probably get back to those days once again.
  2. Curious what happened to them. Just shocked to not see Crawford dead last again.
  3. Is Crawford actually decent or is the rest of the PLAC just bad?
  4. I really hope this is the ultimate motivator for Plainfield’s program and team. Seeing your arch rivals win it all. I’m a Quaker until I die. Congrats to DC but man is it painful. Especially after DC’s unsportsmanlike antics in the first game.
  5. As someone who wants my school to join a different conference, I would DESPISE it.
  6. I feel like this will benefit Plainfield and hurt Decatur Central tremendously
  7. Week 6 in the Mid-State conference, here we go! Whiteland (3-1-1) at Martinsville (5-0) Whiteland is a very good team with a great offense, and they can easily knock off the Artesians if they are down. Martinsville has the most complete offense in the Mid-State conference, and they should be able to tear down Whiteland's offense with ease. This will be a very good game and will help determine who wins the conference. Prediction: Martinsville 38, Whiteland 35 Greenwood (2-3) at Perry Meridian (2-3) This should be a close game. Greenwood is a good team running the football and I question whether Perry will be able to stop them on the ground. Perry runs a balanced offense with a quarterback who can make plays with his legs. These are two well-coached teams and this should be a good game. I will take Greenwood, they will be hungry to prove their worth after their shutout homecoming loss at home against Plainfield, and I think Coach Boser's offensive creativity will take the reigns here. Prediction: Greenwood 27, Perry 21 Franklin (2-3) at Mooresville (1-4) The Pioneers have clearly been the worst team in the conference so far. However, Franklin has been struggling, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and the Pioneers return a bunch of players who were injured against Terre Haute North. I think that the upset will happen here. Prediction: Mooresville 21, Franklin 14 Game of the Week: Decatur Central (2-2-1) at Plainfield (5-0) These two teams are probably the favorites for the southern half of 5A, and they could not be more of a polar opposite to one another. Decatur Central brings another level of speed to the conference while Plainfield brings another level of physicality. The Quakers have the best run game and defense in the conference, and I think that it will prevail here. Prediction: Plainfield 29, Decatur Central 22
  8. Yeah I'm with you on that one
  9. Southport can beat Tech in the sectional if they draw them. If they draw Perry they will get boat raced again. Pray for them if they draw Warren.
  10. Carmel vs Brebeuf is the most intriguing matchup here IMO. Brebeuf has a top 5 offense in the state but their defense is not very good. Their offense can play with anyone. Their defense can too. It will be close and high scoring early but later in the game Carmel's defense will adjust and Brebeuf's defense will have no answer for Carmel. I also think that Terre Haute South will be another extremely high scoring game for Brebeuf. THSV has an incredibly good offense with a poor defenses. Both offenses should be able to do whatever they want with the defenses in a few weeks. Carmel 70-35. Other Predictions: LN 63 Tech 0 (42-0 after 1) Cathedral 35 NC 10 Warren 21 BD 0 CG 24 Trotwood 6 LC 35 Pike 34
  11. I will take PH over Churubusco and Fremont over CN.
  12. Mooresville (1-3) at Decatur Central (1-2-1) Decatur Central just suffered the ultimate humiliation. Up 35-0, they ended up losing 39-38 to Martinsville. This one shouldn't be too hard, though. Mooresville COULD win another game in the conference, but they are likely 8th out of 8. Mooresville tends to play better against their arch-rival, but this one shouldn't be close. Prediction: Decatur Central 42, Mooresville 21 Plainfield (4-0) at Greenwood (2-2) Greenwood still has issues on the defensive side of the ball, and that won't help them against a top 3 rushing attack in 5A. Plainfield only needed to pass the ball 6 times and ran for 365 yards in their 35-12 win over Perry Meridian. Greenwood has a potent offense that could make things interesting early, but they will not be able to match Plainfield's physicality for 4 quarters. Prediction: Plainfield 42, Greenwood 14 Martinsville (4-0) at Franklin (2-2) Martinsville's offense is POTENT. They can run, they can pass, they can do it all. Franklin is not a bad team though and can easily compete if the Arties are not focused. Martinsville still has issues on the defensive side of the ball, but their defense will step up when needed. Prediction: Martinsville 38, Franklin 26 Perry Meridian (2-2) at Whiteland (2-1-1) (Game of the Week) Perry Meridian is a physical football team and can cause Whiteland fits if the Warriors are not prepared. Whiteland is the better team on paper, but may have came into the season a bit overhyped. Perry Meridian's QB is small but fast and can make plays through the air. This will be an extremely defensive football game and the tougher and more physical team will win. Prediction: Whiteland 21, Perry Meridian 14
  13. Hagerstown beats Union County 62-0. Pats now being outscored 262-0 on the year. Will the pain ever stop? Bowman and Crawford could run circles around this team.
  14. We might get a repeat of 91-12 this week.
  15. What happened to Hondaburg? Might be the most dysfunctional program in Indiana right now based on what I’ve heard.
  16. I've got Greensburg winning over Connersville this week.
  17. Keep Rushville who craps the bed in nearly every sport but reject JC who went to 4A basketball semistate not too long ago, what an excellent conference administration!
  18. Keep telling me how undeserving we are when we're 5-0 and about to host Decatur Central.
  19. Columbus North 49 - Columbus East 0 Either the talent gap in Sectional 8 has closed, or Decatur Central was way overrated to start the season. Regardless, this one might have a running clock to start the 2nd half. Terre Haute South 35 - Floyd Central 14 Terre Haute South is an extremely underrated football team this season. A lot of playmakers on offense and Division I talent. I expect this one to be a wider margin than expected. Mooresville 42 - Terre Haute North 6 Terre Haute North definitely improved but Mooresville is just a better all-around program and team. Bloomington North 38 - Bedford North Lawrence 14 Bedford got pummeled against Martinsville, I do not think they have much of a shot against Bloomington North. Martinsville 31 - Bloomington South 28 I will take the Arties in this one. Should be the Game of the Week in Conference Indiana. Perry Meridian 20 - Southport 14 Despite looking completely uncompetitive against FC, Falcons should have more talent. This sectional should be split up next cycle, no matter what happens.
  20. Northeastern 80 Union County 0. Low roster numbers, lots of 2-way players (especially on O-line and D-line) and poor fundamentals are what immediately sticks out when you watch this Union County team. They've got a long rebuild ahead of them. I wish them success.
  21. Hart, who is probably the most polarizing coach in all of Indiana high school basketball, has been given another chance to prove himself by Cloverdale, who has been struggling for years after the graduations of Cooper Neese (2017) and Jalen Moore (2018). As you may or may not know, Hart was extremely successful at Linton-Stockton before getting into legal trouble. His two DUIs in 2023 led to his termination at Linton. Hart inherits a team that lost 5 seniors and placed dead last in the Western Indiana Conference, not winning a single conference game. The team finished 2-22 with wins coming against Riverton Parke and Eminence. The next two teams at the bottom of the conference, South Putnam and Brown County, are set to improve as well. 2nd-year coach Josh Estridge's South Putnam team lost only one senior while Brown County went from 0 wins to 8 wins, so I can see an upwards trajectory there as well. It will be tough sledding for Hart in year one, but his team should be competitive with the bottom half of the WIC, especially with his two freshman twin sons coming in for the Clovers next year. Any thoughts on Joey Hart going to the Clovers?
  22. Tri West enrollment may be growing but I’d imagine Danville and Lebanon’s enrollments will vastly surpass Tri-West’s. Whitestown is one of the fastest growing areas of the state and it is within Lebanon district lines. Avon is slowly starting to resemble Wayne Twp more and more and Avon residents are heading west.
